The International Migrants Day Symposium (December 17–18, 2024) in Bangkok addressed key migration challenges. UN Women participated through the EU-funded PROTECT Project, implemented with ILO, UNICEF, and UNODC, to advance solutions for women migrant workers and children at risk.
PROTECT’s contributions included keynote interventions by the European Union and UN Women, and an expert panel discussion highlighting coordinated responses to gender-based violence (GBV) and strategies to strengthen protection and support systems for migrant women and girls.

In honor of National Women's Equality Day, I honor some of the women who have had a direct effect on my life, who have excelled due to women's equality, some who have overcome great odds to succeed as well as some who will have a brighter future due to women's equality.
I have very few photos of my mother but she certainly was the prime person in my life to guide me to be able to care for myself and to have self esteem and that was long before feminism came on the scene. Long live strong women who choose to have an equal standing and a voice in their future.

Se è vero che le parole creano mondi e che raccontare le cose le fa esistere, TEDxReggioEmilia, nel suo decimo anniversario, vuole testimoniare come anche attraverso la forza delle parole sia possibile lottare per i propri diritti con lealtà e rispetto, facendosi valere e provando a cambiare con coraggio.
Progettare un mondo diverso, più giusto: un mondo di persone più felici e fedeli a se stesse.
Ciò che sembra dissonante può non esserlo. I contrasti e i pregiudizi possono appianarsi.
Mai come in questo momento storico, schiacciati dall’assenza di sicurezze e bloccati in una realtà distopica in cui spazio e tempo sembrano sospesi, c’è bisogno di parole incoraggianti, di favorire un uso della tecnologia inclusivo e consapevole, per porre il focus sulla bellezza dentro e intorno a noi, per farci ispirare e trovare nuove motivazioni.
Un nuovo Umanesimo, che parta dalle parole e dagli esempi concreti, per insegnare alle bambine e ai bambini, alle ragazze e ai ragazzi e alle persone tutte, che possono lottare per un mondo inclusivo in cui chiunque può progettare la propria vita e dar vita ai propri desideri.
Parità, inclusione, femminismo, talento, diritti, ambiente, tecnologia, consapevolezza.
Possiamo cambiare il mondo, una parola alla volta.

Luca Trapanese - Papà supereroe.
Luca Trapanese è nato a Napoli il 14 gennaio 1977. È padre di una bambina con sindrome di down che ha adottato nel 2018. Viaggia molto da quando aveva 14 anni prediligendo i paesi in via di sviluppo.
Ama l’India e l’Africa dove ha svolto da sempre attività di volontariato, coordinando progetti molto importanti collaborando con le suore di Madre Teresa. È cresciuto spiritualmente a Lourdes, nel treno bianco dove ha instaurato intensi rapporti con tanti ragazzi disabili e si è formato nella parrocchia nella SS. Trinità guidata da Don Gennaro Matino. Nel 2007 fonda “A ruota libera Onlus” con la quale realizza una lunga serie di progetti legati alla disabilità.
Di recente ha fondato “IL BORGO SOCIALE” micro comunità per ragazzi disabili senza genitori impegnati a vivere in maniera autonoma ed all’inserimento lavorativo, e la CASA DI MATTEO la prima comunità nel Sud Italia che accoglie bambini con gravi malformazioni, disabilità e forme tumorali abbandonati. Coordina da dieci anni i progetti della Fondazione del Cardinale di Napoli e collabora attivamente con enti benefici di rilievo come il Pio Monte della Misericordia. Nel tempo libero dipinge acquerelli, soprattutto durante i suoi viaggi.
