The Equal Love / IDAHO Rally on May 14th was a great success, and unsurprisingly there was A LOT of love for IDAHO.

So this past Monday I went out to rally against yes on prop 8. The night was pretty successful with many supporters. Unfortunately the night turned sour when a supporter of yes on prop 8 punched my gay friend in the face twice. It makes me laugh when I think of their supposed 'CHRISTIAN VALUES"...ppssshhhh...... Sadly the prop passed :(

This image was part of a campaign I created that raised awareness of racism within our society and the culture differences. I chose to join these two faces together as one is a spanish female and the other a caribbean boy. I felt these nationalities were very different and also their facial features were distinctive enough to highlight my point of that everyone is equal although we look very different. I wanted my images to make people do a double take and then look closely and realise that they are in fact two completely different people.
My main artist inspirations for this project were graphic designer Barbara Kruger and conceptual artist John Stezaker.
