2016 International Flower & Garden Festival
Beautiful bright colors abound wherever you look during
the annual Flower and Garden Festival, held every Spring.
It features fantastic gardens and amazing Disney topiary.
[FYI: FRESH EPCOT is the catchphrase/theme this year. There
were many vegetable-displays, hence the name; fresh produce.]

It had rained all afternoon which made me change my plans for night captures... basically canceling them. Therefore, I did not take my tripod with me when we went to Epcot for dinner. The rain let up after dinner, and I found myself in somewhat of an empty park. Not to be deterred I decided to shoot the pavilions hand held.

For a park that I've only been lucky enough to visit twice, EPCOT has forever captured my imagination. It's the one park that I always find myself wanting to go to if it were possible. So in honor of it's 30th Birthday I'm posing this shot. It's frankly awful by my own current standards but I couldn't pass up this occasion. Thankfully I had the sense back then to use a tripod and shoot in RAW, thats the only reason I was able to save this shot. Yet for some reason I shot it at a crazy ISO (Gasp!) and it was super noisy, probably because I didn't know how to use anything but Auto back then. Sure makes me realize how much I've learned and grown since then!

Of all the Park Epcot had the best fireworks - This is a combination of 6 images to create the panoramic and then about 5 images from the actual firework display all combined to make one giant panoramic

Took this shot on my last trip to Epcot. Sometimes I thank a plain and simple shot is good.
Mission: SPACE is meant to simulate astronaut training for the first manned mission to Mars aboard the fictional X-2 Deep Space Shuttle in 2036, the seventy-fifth anniversary of Yuri Gagarin becoming the first man in space. (The year 2036 can be deduced from plaques in the attraction's queue celebrating 75 years of human spaceflight, including two faux milestones in the future.) Riders are "trainees" at the fictional International Space Training Center (ISTC), where they are arranged into crews of four before watching an introductory video featuring actor Gary Sinise.
Before boarding the simulators, each rider is assigned an on-board role (navigator, pilot, commander or engineer) and given two tasks to perform during the mission (pressing a specific button when told). For example, one of the commander's buttons initiates the rocket's first-stage separation, and the other activates manual flight control. The spacecraft's on-board self-automated pilot will perform each task if the rider does not respond to his or her prompt from Mission Control or if there is no one to perform the task. Also featured are various labeled buttons and switches which the rider may play with but do nothing; they are only there to add to the realism aspect of the ride.
The mission includes liftoff from the ISTC, a slingshot around the moon for a gravity-assisted boost, a brief period of simulated hypersleep (to pass the lengthy time required to reach Mars) and a descent for landing on the Martian surface. As a training exercise, the mission contains several unexpected situations that add to the drama.
The futuristic X-2 vehicle is a three-stage rocket which is said to use several technologies in development today, including aerospike engines, solid hydrogen fuel, an aerobrake and carbon nanotubes.
The attraction queue contains several items and commemorative plaques from past, present and fictional future space missions. Among the items on display are props from the 2000 film Mission to Mars, including the rotating "gravity wheel" from the predecessor X-1 spacecraft, a model of which hangs from the ceiling, and a replica of a NASA moon rover from the Apollo program.
Upon conclusion of the training exercise, guests are invited to participate in activities at the Advanced Training Lab, a post-show area containing a group game called Mission: SPACE Race in which players perform tasks as Mission Control technicians aiding two X-2 spacecraft racing to return to Earth; a space-themed play area for toddlers; a single-person, arcade-style game in which an astronaut explores Mars on foot; and a kiosk where brief video postcards can be created and sent via e-mail.

In Epcot they had different Countries like, America Germany Mexico, Norway, Morocco, France, Great Britten, China, Japan, Italy and Canada! It was a lot of fun seeing the different areas too and I learned lots! :) So at each Country I decided to take a picture of Miku. I combined 3 shots in Photoshop layers using masking and Screen mode. I use Layer Masking to paint out bursts that look out of place or don't add to the scene. I also use masking opacity to darken and mix lighting where the 3 shots combined strength would cause an area to look over exposed.

This was a quick and fun little build! I wanted to try my hand at microscale and landscape. I hope you all like it!
Here's an idea that popped up in my head earlier: would Modular-Mini Walt Disney World make a good Lego CUUSOO idea? And would you all vote for it? Basically there would be either the main icons from the parks, in this case Spaceship Earth, or rides from the parks. The rides would be a tiny bit larger for detail means. Or we could do both of those ideas! Let me know!

I had a great time shooting with friends Don Sullivan and Cory Disbrow last Friday night. Waiting for Illuminations to start, I kept monitoring the sky hoping the sun would turn up the color on it’s decent... and it did, briefly. Seeing the faint pinks and purples being painted on low hanging clouds, I spun my camera around to fire off a series of the beautiful sky just as Monorail Lime made it’s run through Future World.

O nome, que anteriormente era todo escrito em letras maiúsculas por ser uma sigla, significa Experimental Prototype Comunity Of Tomorrow (Protótipo Experimental da Comunidade do Amanhã).
O Epcot é dividido em duas partes:
Future World (Mundo do futuro) - Onde o visual do parque é um agregado moderno e as inovações tecnológicas são as principais atrações.
World Showcase (Mostruário do mundo) - Onde países de diferentes regiões possuem pavilhões, onde é possivel encontrar um ambiente típico de cada país.
