Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
I have tried several times to get this shot but my timing has always been a little off. This is a 182 second exposure with a 6 stop ND filter. Taken from the Japan Pavilion . Have a great week and thanks so much for stopping by. (Disney spends between $44,000 and $55,000 per fireworks show each night).
I just got back from a quick trip to Walt Disney World. This wasn't a photo trip, but of course I couldn't pass up a few opportunities to use the camera. A few of us were hanging out at Epcot and wanted to watch IllumiNations with the seasonal Holiday tag and I couldn't decide whether I wanted to photograph the show or not. I knew I wasn't really interested in shooting from the usual locations and in conversation, one idea led to another and ultimately I ended up at one of my favorite monorail spots. Go figure... I only had one camera and one lens with me so thanks to Kevin Davis for telling me he brought a strobe and UWA lens because once that was established, there was no turning back. I was going to attempt this shot.
It's been a few years since I have done a shot like this. Yes, there's a lot going on. Sure, it's a little over the top but love them or hate them, I really enjoy the challenge.
I hadn't done a B&W image in quite a while and I had been looking though my Disney images trying to find one that "Fit". My philosphy is that there are just some things/places that are meant to be shot in color...like Disney, Carnivals, and NASCAR..just to name a few because those places the color is so integrated as one with them.
But every once in a while a scene will emerge that just screams B&W.
So for those curious...yes, I shoot (a lot) during the day and outside. My first passion with photography is Landscape shooting so I have really crafted my ART doing that. I love to photograph Disney too and it offers such a different challenge for me. So for those who wonder who I am as a Photographer...I am both. A landscape Photographer who loves Disney too.

This past spring we had a hail storm which damaged our roof. We recently had the roof replaced (thanks to our insurance company). It took 1 day for the roofers to rip up the old shingles and replace with new ones. I'm sure the China roof took many weeks to construct. It's amazing the amount of detail given to this building.

Harmonious fireworks in EPCOT viewed from the Italy pavilion in world showcase. Taken handheld 3.2 second exposure so if it's a bit wobbly in places that's why.
Don't know why but I love this picture that I took when we visited Epcot on the 5th October, only taken with my Iphone as I didn't take my R6 with me

A visit to Epcot.
Epcot, a theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort, consists of two sections—Future World and World Showcase which are patterned after the types of exhibits found at world expositions and in its early years, it was often called a "permanent World's Fair."
The background pavilions in this shot are the glass pyramids of Imagination! on the left and the top of The Land on the right. Epcot has many beautiful flowers, lakes, and trees and a fascinating Monorail and I'm glad to have found a way to include them in this capture. Below is a capture of the iconic and symbolic structure of Epcot, Spaceship Earth and a sunset capture of Future World.
This photo was taken couple minutes after fireworks show and the effects show in the air with a smoky looking atmosphere. This photo also has some noise considering it was a hand-held shot. It was a nice day at the food and wine festival here at The Epcot.
Today we celebrate the 42nd anniversary of the Magic Kingdom, Polynesian, Contemporary Resort, and Fort Wilderness. We also celebrate the 31st birthday of EPCOT Center.
Hard to believe it's been an entire year since the amazing weekend of EPCOT30.
The light honestly looked just like this last night when leaving the park. I made no white balance adjustments to the photo whatsoever. Thanks for looking!

The China Pavilion has always been one of my favorite late night spots in Epcot's World Showcase. What's your favorite spot in World Showcase?
