Finally getting caught up on work, so I will try to get caught up with everybody today and tomorrow.
EPCOT is a theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida. It is owned and operated by the Walt Disney Company through its Disney Experiences division. The park opened on October 1, 1982, as EPCOT Center.
The Chinese Pavilion is a prominent landmark in the World Showcase at Orlando Florida's Disney's EPCOT Them Park.
A view of the monorail passing over Epcot's parking lot. I thought this looked interesting with the guest's reactions. Some stop and stare while others continue on with a friendly wave. Its an interesting experience walking under the monorail in the parking lot. You can hear the metal guards vibrate; then the low rumble and whoosh as it passes overhead.
The Three Caballeros figures return to ending scene at Gran Fiesta Tour in Mexico Pavilion at Epcot. The figures were once featured in Mickey Mouse Revue attraction at Magic Kingdom Park.

I've been to Disney World almost a dozen times. Most of those occasions during the time i worked there since it was free. Since i'm not an employee anymore this is the first time i've had to pay to go to Disney since i was five. Given today's economy, i was determined to get my money's worth. My sister and I made it through all four parks in one day from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. (thank you extended hours); essentially three hours in each park.
So how do you enjoy the sights and sounds of Disney in one day. Well...that depends on what you want to see. Specifically, which fireworks show you want to see, and what the schedule is. For us, it was important to see Illuminations, so that meant that Epcot would be last on our itinerary.
We started out in the Animal Kingdom cause it closes first and the lines for Mt. Everest and the Kilimanjaro tours are some of the longest in all the parks.
Next up was the Magic Kingdom. I used to work there so i had ridden the rides all dozens of times. After finding out that Space Mountain was closed and the line for Big Thunder Mountain was 2 hours long, i knew we wouldn't be there for long. I don't do kiddie rides; go big or go home. I did get a chance to do Pirates of the Carabean which was under construction the last time i was there.
After MK was MGM (or Hollywood Studios as it's been renamed). My timing was perfect too. We got there just after it rained so the lines were clear. We got Fast Pass for Tower of Terror and jumped in line for Rockin Rollercoaster right away then ran to tower of terror while the lines were low.
We were a little behind schedule when we left MGM, but we made it to Illuminations @ Epcot in plenty of time to get good spots. After you see Disney Fireworks everything else is just lame.
Thankfully there was a second showing of Fantasmic at MGM after Illuminations so we rushed back over there, used our fast pass for Tower of Terror then got center seats for Fantasmic.

Welcome to Epcot! Before heading to any ride, we stopped to take a picture. What could say Epcot better than a picture in front of the giant sphere that is Spaceship Earth?
