Although not part of the Underground for over twenty years, Ongar is still the datum point for all distance measurements on the system.
On Sunday 18th February 2018, the Epping Ongar Railway held a bus event themed around 'Everything Has Doors'. There were 5 routes, the 175 North Weald - Passingford Bridge, 381A North Weald - Passingford Bridge, 500 North Weald - Passingford Bridge, 718 North Weald - Harlow and High Beach Tour North Weald - High Beach. There were 12 buses in service, T1, SM1, MBA539, GLS490, RF401, RF180, RMA48, RCL2260, V3, RP21 and T1128. FRM1, MBA582 and M1014 were on static display. Here, RMA48 arrives at North Weald, prior to working its first trip in service for almost 40 years on route 175 to Passingford Bridge!
