Watering Metropolitan Railway 0-4-4T tank number 1 in the terminus at Ongar. The station survived until closure and has been spruced up but most of the railway infrastructure is new since 2012 when the new owner injected large amounts of money to upgrade the line before reopening.

Two trains of London Underground 1992 stock in Epping station, 91161 arriving and 91317 standing in the platform on the right. These units were built by ABB Transportation in Derby. Today Epping is the eastern terminus of the London Underground Central Line but until 25 years ago the electrification went as far as Ongar along the former Great Eastern Railway's 1865 Epping to Ongar branch line.
The modern-day preserved Epping to Ongar Railway doesn't actually reach this station but terminates a short distance to the east in Epping Forest. On this day heritage London Transport buses were running from Epping to North Weald & Ongar to connect with the steam and diesels and then on to Shenfield station for the London-Ipswich main line service trains.
On Sunday 18th February 2018, the Epping Ongar Railway held a bus event themed around 'Everything Has Doors'. There were 5 routes, the 175 North Weald - Passingford Bridge, 381A North Weald - Passingford Bridge, 500 North Weald - Passingford Bridge, 718 North Weald - Harlow and High Beach Tour North Weald - High Beach. There were 12 buses in service, T1, SM1, MBA539, GLS490, RF401, RF180, RMA48, RCL2260, V3, RP21 and T1128. FRM1, MBA582 and M1014 were on static display. Here, T1 stands at Epping Station, about to work the last 339 journey of the day to North Weald and back.
I had a day at the EPPING and ONGAR Railway - I took my CLA'd 1978 HASSELBLAD 500C/M with A16 backs to use up some outdated film. 1992 ORWO NP22 and 2006 KONICA PRO 400 . Here is the first set . The last roll of ORWO NP22 120 I could find in my Fridge. I processed it in home-made 510-Pyro 1:100 for 7.5 mins @ 20oC

Preserved Birmingham Railway Carriage and Wagon Company (BRCW) type 3 Class 33 diesel locomotive 33202 'Dennis G. Robinson' at Ongar Station on the heritage Epping Ongar Railway (EOR) in Essex (UK).
33202 entered service as D6587 on February 9th 1962 and was withdrawn from traffic on February 28th 2009.
33202 was a guest locomotive at the EOR courtesy of Mangapps Railway Museum which is not too far away from here.
'EOR' - Epping Ongar Railway resident 'Thumper' class 205205, resplendent in Network Southeast livery, passes through the lush Spring countryside of Essex with the 1100 North Weald via Coopersale to Ongar service on 4.5.2014.
This could almost have been a capture along the Ashford to Hastings line a decade or so ago !
