This is a pedestrain access door in the side of K2. Note the thickness of the door in the inset photo. It is approximately 40mm thick armour plate.
As we walked around the hill from the woods over Bex, we had views over the vines, valleys and villages of Vaud.
Since time immemorial, salt – sodium chloride (NaCl) – has been recognised for its critical importance to the life of humans and animals alike. Bex is home to Switzerland's first salt mine.

Anyway, this entry is being sent in on behalf of my amazing photographer
mam, Marie Boland. It was taken through the window of her jeep over the xmas
holiers (I was in the driving seat bombing along the lovely country roads of
meath while she was snapping away beside me). We sent in 4 because we
couldn't decide!
