Door to the garage on the right, with tiled floor leading into the house. At the end of the tiles on the left is a coat closet, and on the right, the stairs. Straight ahead is the guest bedroom.
Leaf and oil in a lock on the GU Canal. WCC 2011/12 PDI Competition 3. Oily water. 14 marks. Judge not very impressed commented on the cut-off at the top and the large 'empty' area to left.
So here is the finished contest entry! A shield, sword, and an armor stand. I'm probably going to mount the stand up in the shop when I make some space and clean up a bit. I intended on their being a helmet as well, but timing and lack of skill/knowledge/clamps/hands made that task pretty much not possible.
I'll know if I won (or even placed) on the 6th. Wish me luck!

Parquet wood flooring in entryway...needed replacing or resurfacing. We decided that was a dated style flooring and needed modernizing.

Traffic at the Adré border crossing between Chad and Sudan. Adré is also the entry point for Sudanese refugees fleeing the conflict in Darfur, Sudan, the only entry point for humanitarian aid into Darfur, and a crossing point for people who trade and sell.
LWF in Chad supports refugees from Sudan. 700,000 people, mainly women and children, have fled the conflict that escalated in April 2023. The refugee camps are situated in a region where water and other resources are scarce. With a field office in Farchana, LWF supports people in Arkoum refugee camp with water and sanitation.
