"Ye stars! which are the poetry of heaven!" — Lord Byron
"Astronomy compels the soul to look upward, and leads us from this world to another" — Plato
"Man is an artifact designed for space travel. He is not designed to remain in his present biologic state any more than a tadpole is designed to remain a tadpole"— William S. Burroughs
"I don't know what you could say about a day in which you have seen four beautiful sunsets."— John Glenn, Astronaut
“We wanderers, ever seeking the lonelier way, begin no day where we have ended another day; and no sunrise finds us where sunset left us. Even while the earth sleeps we travel. We are the seeds of the tenacious plant, and it is in our ripeness and our fullness of heart that we are given to the wind and are scattered.” ― Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet

Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Z06 C8 - 2025 model.
Obviously an 'entry level' vehicle, lol.
The Z06 'flagship' Corvette: a 5.5 litre naturally aspirated V8 engine.
Found today along Central Avenue at Thornleigh in northern Sydney.
Parked outside the entry to the Bunnings Home Hardware Store, and opposite McDonalds (where I had gone to get a coffee from McCafe).

Just a few things on the entry table for Christmas/Winter decor, the basket with greenery and berries tipped in snow, pine cones, winter bird and a book.
Špehovka is one of several caves in Tisnik mountain, where significant artefacts from paleo- and neolithic were found. Two harpoons and many other pieces are proving, that people lived there thousands of years. The piled stones on the left are remains of archaeological work.
When entering this 91 m long cave, we have a feeling like entering in a giant skull through its eyes caverns. But inside, all is then peaceful.

This is one image in a series I'm shooting on parking decks ... shapes and forms, light and shadow play, mood and atmosphere. Some images are minimalist; others representational; still others abstract. To see more in the series click Parking Deck Series
Depoe Bay is a city on the Pacific Ocean Oregon Coast. It has a harbor that the city promotes as the world's smallest navigable harbor. The entry to the harbor is a 30 foot wide passage with a concrete wall at the opening and rock wall for the rest. We rented a place with a great view of the boats going in and out, a variety from kayaks on up to 40 ft tour boats for fishing and/or whale watching. We noticed that most power boats came in at high speed and then slowed some as they came to some bends in the passage. The sea was quite calm so the whales' puffs, backs and tails were easily seen from our place.
When David Walsh got his architect to dream up a fantastical entry point to the underground dungeons (sorry, galleries) of MONA, they came up with two ideas. The first was that patrons would have to walk over a tennis court, and the second was that they would be bamboozled by their own distorted mirror image.
You can see the electric glass doors here are just beginning to open, surrounded by the crazy mirror.
