Virginia National Guard Soldiers assigned to the Petersburg-based 276th Engineer Battalion, 329th Regional Support Group conduct rail load operations during their annual training June 4, 2019, at Fort Pickett, Virginia. For the sixth consecutive year, engineers and staff from Pima County’s Transportation Department will teach kids how to make asphalt cookies during the “Discovering Engineering at the Mall” event on Saturday, Feb. 20 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The event, held at Foothills Mall, 7401 N. La Cholla Blvd., brings together engineers from across the region to increase awareness and appreciation for the profession as part of Engineers Week, Feb. 21-27.
