The whole fortress is recreated from the original 1740's layout. This, if I remember correctly, is the engineer's house - the guy who designed the whole fortress. That, or it's one of the captains.

The engineers cottage was used to accommodate the engineers and architects during Tarraleah's hydro days. Today the cottages have been fully restored to their former glory.
Each year there's an Engineered Eats theme that allows restaurants around town to participate.
For 2016, it was about milk — 32 local chefs, bakers and restaurateurs accepted the challenge to explore the science behind dairy.
This is the first year I volunteered to photograph some of the delicious drinks and dishes created for Engineered Eats.
