I visited the Interurban Tram in Steveston. Thinking that people took the tram to go from Steveston to Vancouver in the 1950's, It was a long trip at that time. You visited your friends in Vancouver with an hour trip and you two talked about things in life.
Nowadays you may not need to visit friends in person any more. You share everything including what you just had in lunch on social media. You overcame the barrier of physical distance but I don't think you get any closer with others.
Happy Sunday!

Wishing all a fine Labor Day ahead. I'll be back at the zombie lab tonight, so will catch up from there.
This photograph has sat in my 'to process' folder for well over a year now...I wasn't sure if I liked it enough to spend time editing it, but every time I've dismissed it, I keep on coming back to it. I think it sums up some feelings I have towards depression, mental health and the long stormy road to recovery and a healthy happy life. It's an invisible illness that isolates the sufferer, and you can feel like you're drowning without water, gasping for oxygen but surrounded by air. It's a horrible illness that is yet to be fully understood, but for me - this photograph seems to encompass at least many of those inner battles and daily struggles.
Ancient Street in Tunxi is home to many cafes, restaurants and bars. Some of the streets specialize in eating and drinking.
This large orange stylized punctuation mark (?) symbol sits on the waterside of Vancouver's Science World dome.
The sculpture is not readily visible unless you walk the seawall around the building at the east end of False Creek.
Is it a good metaphor for enquiring minds that might visit Science World?

A plaque in the centre of the wall states: ' 1914 Sic virescit industria 1918 / TO COMMEMORATE THE MEN OF ROTHERHAM / WHO DURING THE GREAT WAR 1914 - 1918 / GAVE THE MOST THAT LOVE CAN GIVE / LIFE ITSELF / FOR GOD FOR KING FOR COUNTRY / AND FREEDOM OF THE WORLD '
