Caban coch dam 'topping' at the Elan valley, Powys, Wales, UK

The lowest of the dams in the sequence of four built in the valley of the Elan River is Caban Coch Dam. It is the simplest and most functional in appearance of all the dams, resembling a natural waterfall when the reservoir is full and the dam is in full spate with water pouring over the dam wall.

Caban Coch is the first of the four dams to be built, with work starting in 1894.

Dining on the Carnival Spirit ship - this 1,300-seat, two-deck Empire Restaurant has a Napoleonic splendour, the ceiling domes painted with murals and hung with crystal chandeliers.

Amazing friendly staff and delicious meals.

Black and white Solarization white + blue toning

The original image was taken in the afternoon. The buildings in the background, were nicely blurry, in beige tones. However we were in a train station and there were a lot of station furniture and billboards. Ads created a large spot with yellow, purple and blue melted.

Black and white Solarisation with the brighter settings created a nice image that looks like it were drawn with carbon pencils.
