DB Class 60 No.60001 formerly named “Steadfast” ambles along the old LNWR ‘Buxton & High Peak’ branch from Buxton to Ashbourne and onwards to London now the branch from Buxton serves only Dowlow & Hindlow Quarries, The grubby 60 is seen skirting round the bend at Harpur Hill heading for Dowlow with the empty “Ely” set from Peak Forest Up Sdgs formed of mostly HOA wagons. Worth noting the farmer isn’t antisocial but doesn’t appreciate people in the field whilst livestock is present.
Taken using camera mounted on pole.

RWSX empties snake through the Sandhills at Ellsworth, Nebraska. I've always found it interesting that to BNSF it's the the Sand Hills Sub, but to the rest of the world it's the Sandhills.

Next time, I won't position over a puddle and wait for the people to appear from hiding just out of frame. Next time, I will wait for the people to appear, then take my position.
Next time...
An empty house
Time to get myself back home
Nothing but an empty house
Living without you
An empty house
I've never been to Mavora Lakes during a peak season, so it has always been empty. Knowing you have the entire area to yourselves is exhilarating.
A fascinating reflection. Reminds me of the Don McLean song, Empty Chairs (one of my favourite songs as I was growing up.
"Although you said you'd go, until you did, I'd never thought you would."
(46/365) Lidl had Escargots (snails cooked in garlic butter) on offer the other day & Martin loves them. I don't. It seemed a waste to throw the shells away so I've put them in this ceramic bowl on my bathroom windowsill. Playing around with the Fish Eye effect on the new camera (best viewed Large to appreciate the texture in the shells). Happy Snail Saturday HSS!

Just returned from a trip to the Empty Quarter in the UAE - fairly crazy adventure - stayed 4 days on my own in the desert - no people around for miles. My tent almost blew away the evening I took this image. Enjoy!
