DB Class 60 No.60001 formerly named “Steadfast” ambles along the old LNWR ‘Buxton & High Peak’ branch from Buxton to Ashbourne and onwards to London now the branch from Buxton serves only Dowlow & Hindlow Quarries, The grubby 60 is seen skirting round the bend at Harpur Hill heading for Dowlow with the empty “Ely” set from Peak Forest Up Sdgs formed of mostly HOA wagons. Worth noting the farmer isn’t antisocial but doesn’t appreciate people in the field whilst livestock is present.

Empty BNSF oil train U-MIJTIO0-03T heads west for another load of North Dakota crude, passing the intermediate block signals at MP 58.6 west of Hillsdale, IL. These searchlights will be the next to fall with replacements staged on the ground in Hillsdale.

This is the Palais Garnier, one of the two opera houses of Paris, and (to my taste) the most beautiful one ! On the technical side, these are 7 vertical shots at 17mm stitched together with Hugin.

Four units on the head end and a single DPU provide power on this eastbound coal empty. As light as the coal empty is, I'd bet only the first two units and the DPU are actually online for the journey. The train is wrapping through Little Ten Curve and on the main here at Rocky.
