الأماكن الفارغة تتسلى بالذاكرة..
تتحرك برعونة عكس عقارب الساعة.. فتنتج أياما لها كينونة زمنية مضاعفة: كينونة الزمن المعتاد إذ يتحرك فوق الناس ويهرس الدنيا بحيادية قاتلة.. وكينونة الزمن الآخر إذ يمسك بتلابيب الوجع ويسحبه عنوة بعكس الاتجاه.

كل مكان ينادي باسم صاحبه.. يهديه الماضي.. ويمسح تراب الحرب عن مرآة الزمن القادم لتعكس الصور القديمة التي تركناها خلفنا.. فيختلط اليوم ما بين الاتجاهين.. وتعمّ الفوضى.

الأماكن الفارغة تخلط الأوراق.. تجعل الزمن وهما مفرغا من معناه.. فتصبح الروح ثابتة داخل عجلة تدور وحدها.. لا تتأثر بالزمن الوهمي.. بل بكمية الحقائب وما تحمله من عناوين.

الأماكن الفارغة لها ثقل أكبر من أن نتناساه.. حضورها أشد من حضور أصحابها.. وقعها أشد أحيانا من مشاهد المدن المزالة.. كلما واجهتنا على منعطف من منعطفات الذاكرة سحبتنا نحو دوامة الفراغ.. وتركتنا هناك متعبين لا نستطيع الجلوس رغم ألف مكان فارغ.

At sunset a regal dairy barn sits empty like a king without a kingdom. After retirement, many people look back on years of travel and sacrifice for their career and regard their hard work for a company only as a reminder of family loss.
CN 2449 charges south with Minntac limestone empties at Culver, MN on Feb. 26, 2018. The train is mostly empties but is actually 6 loads and 51 empties as it rolls towards Proctor.
Both limestone power sets of Dash 8s has had a cowl leader most of this winter. Haven't caught it much on the road as the crew has usually been often dying up at Minntac, making the southbound return trips unpredictable.

Though there appears to be more people out walking, there is also a feeling of emptiness, empty benches, empty parks and shorelines, empty streets.
This is a busy line, I've been trying to take a photo without passengers for years, I finally succeeded.
Empty spritz and wine glasses from Al Merca, the next-door ciccheteria (tapas bar) near the Rialto market in Venice. A perfect spot to get a little glimpse into the social life in Venice. Excellent local flavour....well worth a visit.
A Combine harvester empties it`s load of freshly harvested grains of wheat into a trailer which will then be taken away by the tractor.

An empty cicada nymph shell.
"Cicada nymphs emerge after a 17-year childhood underground. Over the course of just a few weeks, they molt, mate, and die. Their babies will hatch in trees and find their way back to the dirt to continue the strange cycle.
They spend most of their lives underground as larvae, followed by a short adulthood — from two to six weeks — above ground."

Just returned from a trip to the Empty Quarter in the UAE - fairly crazy adventure - stayed 4 days on my own in the desert - no people around for miles. My tent almost blew away the evening I took this image. Enjoy!
