Each daffodil seems to develop its own character as it fades. Still a daffodil, still mostly like the others, but with its own shape and style.

We have been empty nesters for a long time. There was that silent break in the rhythm in our routines when the next generation “fledged” and that was tough to endure. Now we have our own retirement rhythm in our home. Luckily we are able to travel to see our families. But there are times I wish it could just be a little more often. Happy Window Wednesday.

G&W liveried Freightliner Class 66 No 66419 climbs away from Retford with 6Z41, the 16.54 West Burton PS - Barnetby empty coal working.
DB Class 60 No.60001 formerly named “Steadfast” ambles along the old LNWR ‘Buxton & High Peak’ branch from Buxton to Ashbourne and onwards to London now the branch from Buxton serves only Dowlow & Hindlow Quarries, The grubby 60 is seen skirting round the bend at Harpur Hill heading for Dowlow with the empty “Ely” set from Peak Forest Up Sdgs formed of mostly HOA wagons. Worth noting the farmer isn’t antisocial but doesn’t appreciate people in the field whilst livestock is present.

الأماكن الفارغة تتسلى بالذاكرة..
تتحرك برعونة عكس عقارب الساعة.. فتنتج أياما لها كينونة زمنية مضاعفة: كينونة الزمن المعتاد إذ يتحرك فوق الناس ويهرس الدنيا بحيادية قاتلة.. وكينونة الزمن الآخر إذ يمسك بتلابيب الوجع ويسحبه عنوة بعكس الاتجاه.

كل مكان ينادي باسم صاحبه.. يهديه الماضي.. ويمسح تراب الحرب عن مرآة الزمن القادم لتعكس الصور القديمة التي تركناها خلفنا.. فيختلط اليوم ما بين الاتجاهين.. وتعمّ الفوضى.

الأماكن الفارغة تخلط الأوراق.. تجعل الزمن وهما مفرغا من معناه.. فتصبح الروح ثابتة داخل عجلة تدور وحدها.. لا تتأثر بالزمن الوهمي.. بل بكمية الحقائب وما تحمله من عناوين.

الأماكن الفارغة لها ثقل أكبر من أن نتناساه.. حضورها أشد من حضور أصحابها.. وقعها أشد أحيانا من مشاهد المدن المزالة.. كلما واجهتنا على منعطف من منعطفات الذاكرة سحبتنا نحو دوامة الفراغ.. وتركتنا هناك متعبين لا نستطيع الجلوس رغم ألف مكان فارغ.
