This is the weirdest part about Summit Place. It has 4 of its 5 anchors, JCPenny, Macy's, Kohl's, and Sears. It's only missing Mongomery Ward's.

The Empty Page began life in a cold, damp warehouse in the North of England. They smile a lot, play noisy music with massive hooks, have recorded with legendary producer, Gggarth, and have been played by Steve Lamacq on 6 music.

to spend a day of worship at the Holyland, FL was indescribable.

"But the other answered, and rebuking him said, Dost thou not even fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?

And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.

And he said, Jesus, remember me when thou comest in thy kingdom.

And he said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in Paradise."

"And Joseph took the body, and wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the tomb, and departed."

Daily challenge is "Emptiness"

My son, Paul David, shared one of his poems with me this past weekend and said 'it would be cool to have a photo to go with it.' To that end, I took him to a local playground this evening at sunset and I tried to capture the mood of his poem. I made him promise me that the next time I take his photo,he shows me his contagious smile and writes a happy happy poem!! LOL

Empty

What can fill this heart of mine?

Can the steel be made to shine?

This hard stone of coldest metal;

Can it be made like a petal?

Who can free my soul from black?

Is religion all I lack?

Or does there linger something more?

What is missed inside my core?

Can a will of iron power

Burn away what shall devour?

Am I cursed, this pain to take?

Or is this hurt what I can shake?

Fill me up, I'm empty now.

Wipe the sweat that's on my brow.

Tired from the battle fought,

Can you give me what I sought?

Flesh and blood be my desire,

Though it's rare that I acquire.

Casting out my guilt and sin,

Filled I am 'til blank again.

- Paul David

On a sunny Sunday in January 2025, I took my Mamiya RZ67 for a walk around Steglitz. I wanted to take some black-and-white pictures of the Bierpinsel and a tunnel that is closed for construction.

I'm still getting used to this camera, but I am getting a handle on it and how to use it with a tripod. The results are getting closer to what I had in mind. I used an expired Rollei Superpan 200, and I blame it for the debris and the numbers that you can see in the pictures here.

Also, this was the first time I self-developed a film using Rodinal, and I'm happy with the results!

This is a shot of Michigan Stadium a.k.a 'The Big House'. The stadium may have been empty when I took this picture, but today it will be filled with 110,000+ people for the stadiums rededication. This shot was taken during a tour of the new club level seating.

I took this picture from a few rows above where my regular seats are. About the only difference between these seats and mine is $2000 per seat and better access to concessions and bathrooms (and seats with cup holders). The private boxes offer more (at a much greater price) The new towers are quite nice, however. They were still doing some work on the bowl seating area as well as the field itself. The big block M had just been primed and later in the day it was painted the proper 'maize' color.

We now have a nice renovated stadium, hopefully the football team will be renovated as well. Go Blue!

[Opening day, 113,090 fans new stadium and NCAA record. A nice win over UConn as well 30-10]
