Thought I'd try embossing something cos it always seems pretty pointless to me but hey! What do you think??
Bitblox are wooden alphabet blocks inspired by our pixelated nostalgia. While pixels continue shrinking out of sight on our digital screens, they live on in full chromatic and tactile splendor in these one-of-a-kind alphabet blocks.

Wildflowers taken this week. Processed with an embossing algorithm to give them a bit of a 3-dimensional look. Comments appreciated.
20+mm of flowers and ferns alight like a pin wheel atop a circular design. Antiqued brass snap or sew button.
I'm loving the Koigu colorway and thought I should post a photo of the sock in progress now that we're having a really nice sunny day.
Just playing... I used the bird embossing folder for one of the tags for my on-line class with Tim and decided just to have a play. I inked up the folder with Hero Arts Soft Pool shadow ink ( it's perfect for this technique) and once I had embossed, I coloured the raised bits with a Sakura Stardust pen. It really sparkles in real lift. Just added the wonderful big sentiment from HA's Made with Love set. As the piece was the right width for the card, just added some matting on the top and bottom.
See HERE for a more detailed view of the glitter pen on the embossing.
The boys would say, "See, Mama. It's fall in Panama, too."
Can you find them, hidden amongst the "fall" colored leaves we gathered? These leaves had withered and browned by the following day.
I heat embossed the Hero Arts fern on a sheet of cork and used the matching die.

I used the Hero Arts BasicGrey Two Way Arrows stencil and embossed it (video in the link below) on Kraft Cardstock. I used StazOn Spiced Chai Ink direct to paper over the textured embossing (which seemed perfect, since Spiced Chai is my go-to choice of hot drink).
I used three different images from the Hero Arts Caffeine Fix Digital Stamp set to create my image. I combined the coffee cup (or tea cup in my case) with the steam and the sentiment using my word processing software, which allows me to re-size, flip (I wanted my mug handle on the right) and position the images, so they are perfect for my card design, and then printed it on Natural White Cardstock.
The layout is this week’s Sweet Sunday Sketch (flipped on its side to work with my vertical image).

Heat embossed in gold the Simon Says Ornate Ornaments, together with sentiment from Clean Line Christmas.
Entering this into the Simon Says Flickrchallenge#187 and Lovechallenge#70.
Just started this over the weekend and then had a REALLY long travel day yesterday (nothing like sitting at the Southwest Airlines gate in Vegas with the sound of slot machines and a bubbly crew of competitive cheerleaders from Stanford to make you want to shut out the world and just knit). I got so much done!!
Drilled and embossed raw blanks (I used the Cuttlebug) and accented with alcohol inks as well as acrylics, sealed with clear acrylic varnish.
There's this neat powder you can sprinkle over wet ink, like from a stamp, and then blast it with heat. The powder turns clear (or a color) and makes a raised area over the ink, making an effect like embossing the paper. Stella knew all about it, I'd never even heard of something like that. Turned out pretty awesome on our return envelopes.
