Wall decorative painting with emboss effect (4mm) made from acrylic paint. Any size is doesn't matter. This is not a canvas base painting but a light and hard board called as calsibooard, a new generation of hardbord with a 100% asbestos free. (certificated).
I remember when I first started taking pictures of wildlife, I was ecstatic to take shots of flying egrets, then like I song I started to hear over and over, I got sick of them ... Now I've come full circle and can appreciate them once again. Although not the best in-flight egret shot, it was the first pic I started to experiment with embossing (thanks, Laura)
The embossed image on this card was painted with Distress Stains and Inks. In person, it looks somewhat like a batik. I don't know the origin of the stamp. It reminds me of a line from Stamp Oasis, but I am not sure this was a part of one.

This view shows the hand-cut embossing mask (die), a maple embossing block (punch) with very crisp edges atop the printed layer of the same cover stock paper to be made into a greeting card. These are the only production tools needed to emboss cards. The 80# cover stock is preprinted sheets of French Sparkletone (Sand color) available from the XpedX Paper Store (formerly Nationwide Papers). It is pricey even by the ream but very good quality in that color images can be printed on it with decent results. This card was one of a series of several created for souvenir stock for the Raymond, Colorado Store, a historical derelict.

I had a 1-piece die laser-cut from acrylic at metrixcreatespace.com, took it home, made a little sandwich (gasket rubber, paper, die), and cranked the whole thing through the rolling mill. Perfect. The rubber smooshed the paper into the die as intended.
The monogram itself if a little something I made for another project, imaginationhardware.com

Same vector graphic as the other plates, but extruded higher than the others. Victoria wanted to see if it would result in some difference detail or texture, but there were some problems. The more the features are extruded, the weaker they are and the more prone to breaking. The printing press applies a tremendous amount of force to the plate, so some detail was destroyed in this plate. But every result is a good result!
Poison label. Hoping to make a few of these up to stick on old green bottles for next Samhain :)

This view shows an embossing block with very crisp edges on the printed cover stock paper. Note it is positioned within 1/16 inch of the edge to start an emboss. Press down and work it to the light line and the edge of the mask (die) below. This block will be used twice on the short edges and three times on the longer edges. The cover stock is a preprinted sheet of French Sparkletone (Sand) available from the XpedX Paper Store (formerly Nationwide Papers). It is pricey but very good. This card was one of a series of several created for souvenir stock for the Raymond, Colorado Store, a historical derelict.
