This iris is from the yard of my great-great grandparents, James Thomas Keeble and Prudence Keeble. Sevier County along with most of East Tennessee was pro-Union during the Civil War, and James Keeble was a private in the Third Tennessee Calvary ( Union ). The iris bulb was given to me about 20 years ago by a cousin, and this is the third time it has bloomed in that length of time. The bloom is a little more than half the size of a modern variety.

This bird had an epic struggle with this stickleback, it took several mins to get the fish into position before it managed to swallow it.

Nach langer Zeit: Ein Gruß an alle. Es sollte ein schöner Urlaub werden, aber genau fünf Stunden nach dieser Aufnahme geschah es: Quadroceptus abruptus est. Die vierfach Sehne nach einem Sturz abgerissen. Krankenhaus in Schweden und in Deutschland, Operation in Deutschland und nun heißt es wieder laufen lernen und und und. Es wird noch einige Zeit dauern, bis ich hier wieder aktiv sein kann. Deshalb nochmals: Gruß an alle.
