Common Sandpiper at Musselburgh, I had to follow it along the Sea Wall for a few hundred meters trying to get a picture.

It is an all roadrunner challenge for me:) This is Roadie again raising her solar array to get warm on a very chilly day. Roadrunners have a patch of dark skin on their back that when the feathers are raised the black skin can absorb the warmth. Pretty cool adaptation! She is framed by green for the challenge. Roadie is semi tame and quite the poser! Another roadrunner fact they are quite easy to tame as long as you can supply raw meatballs or mealworms, LOL!

It is those rare moments - when the stars align and the elements appear to melt together. It is always a process of transition from one state to another. When the mist is rolling through the valley striving over the frosty fir trees. When the very first rays of light illuminate the sky and this diffuse light gently hits the huge pines raging out of the leafless silver birches and both are showing their magical glow. Pretty sure this will look superb on a fine art matt paper print.

negative is my outdoor cat.

he thinks he owns my lawn and garden and bird feeder.

he comes to my backdoor for food but will not come into the house.

the house is not his territory.

he will live like this forever. i have blended him into the outdoors, big and bold.

Had a wonderful evening watching the sunset on my favourite island.

This shot has many of the elements I love in a scene: curvy leading line, water, reflection, a mountain, snow, dramatic clouds, great golden hour light. Glad I made the 25-minute drive out to Mount Bachelor to see it. Bend, where I live, hasn't had snow on the ground for weeks, but here there was a thick layer of it -- creating a winter scene as the start of summer beckons.

For Macro Mondays "four elements"; earth water air fire, and yes, I had to rise to the challenge to try to get them all! The background colouring is to represent air as we all know air is blue 😉 and there can't be a flame without oxygen.
