Designing and building a high power amplifier capable of driving low impedance (as low as 2 Ohm’s @ 50 Vpp) loads.

History of DIY audio
Audio DIY came to prominence in the 50s to 60s, as audio reproduction was relatively new and the technology "complex," audio reproduction equipment, and in particular high performance equipment, was not offered at the retail level. Kits and designs were available for consumers to build their own equipment. Famous vacuum tube kits from Dynaco, Heathkit, and McIntosh, as well as solid state (transistor) kits from Hafler allowed for consumers to build their own hi fidelity systems. Books and magazines were published which explained new concepts regarding the design and operation of vacuum tube and (later) transistor circuits.
While audio equipment has become easily accessible in the current day and age, there still exists an interest in building one's own equipment, including amplifiers, speakers, preamplifiers, and even CD players and turntables. Today, a network of companies, parts vendors, and on-line communities exist to foster this interest. DIY is especially active in loudspeaker and in tube amplification. Both are relatively simple to design and fabricate without access to sophisticated industrial equipment. Both enable the builder to pick and choose between various available parts, on matters of price as well as quality, allow for extensive experimentation, and offer the chance to use exotic or highly labor-intensive solutions, which would be expensive for a manufacturer to implement, but only require personal labor by the DIYer, which is a source of satisfaction to them.

A kit system labeled Stark on the outside but has Hickok marked on the individual plastic part holders. This kit is full of resistors, capacitors, transistors, tubes, chokes, transformers, potentiometers, diodes, sockets, etc. The plastic boards were snapped together giving the student a base to build hundreds of different projects. I'd love to find an original experiments manual for this unit. I currently have 7 of these and have been attempting to put together complete units. I may end up with 4 total when all is said and done. A couple of these kits are available if anyone is interested.
Here's my workbench (and the tiny room it's in) for the BricoGeek contest.
This is in the vanity attached to the master bedroom. The workbench surface is 3/4" ply with a cheap pine dropedge, and sits on spacers above the sink. Standard bathroom-style cabinet below stores the larger parts and tools.
The medicine cabinet holds a few finished BEAM bots, power supplies, and chip programmers.
Opposite the bench is a floor-to-ceiling linen closet, which is full of more tools, parts, toys, books, notebooks, etc...
On floor, bottom-right, is a large three drawer tupperware thing with even more parts, tools, and waiting-to-be-scavenged tidbits.
Thanks for looking,

The electronics bay with 14.6A 24VDC Meanwell PSU available from WanHao USA, Mouser, and other suppliers.
FlashForge Mightyboard rev E clone board with C20 and Extra FET added. FlashForge peripheral terminals replaced with Phoenix screw down terminals. The stepper driver cards are modified Pololu A4988 Black boards. Modified to work with the Mightyboard replacing the standard Botstep cards. Also, the Pololu boards have been adjusted to support the higher current needs of the X, Y and Z stepper motors.
The wiring for the stepper motors is not yet connected.

THANKS and our COMPLIMENTS to its developer Mr. Wassner from Graz, Austria, who was so kind to visit us in Munich! :)
4 NAND (2И-НЕ) элемента. Глядя на гигантский размер кристалла (944x854 µm) — становится очевидно что и «старые» микронные технологии до сих пор используются. Интересно обилие «резервных» via для увеличения выхода годных.
