More retro-futuristic hover insanity. Hinged rear quarters reveal detail underneath on each side. I thought that the hover mechanism up front looked like some kind of weird Tesla coils, hence the ad-copy description. Lots of fun building this one, I hope you all enjoy it!

A digital take on the inca Sun Stone.
Lens Swap between a Nikon 35mm to the Samyang 8mm fisheye, used a Riftlabs kicklight set to red to light the pcb, also used Ian hobsons 32bitmap bmp off the pixelstick Fb page for the rotated part and a touch of stencil to finish.

GBRF Class 66/7 No. 66742 crosses North Rode viaduct on the North Staffs line with the diverted 4L18, a lightly loaded Trafford Park to Felixstowe North intermodal working on 15th February 2016.
Just thought I would post this. The connection between the batarang and the 1x1 antenna piece was interesting, but this was the only idea I could come up with at the time:(
As anything leaves the Esso Sidings at Longport and heads to Crewe, it has to travel east a little distance to find a cross over (or run round siding). Here the 20s head for Stoke North before coming back and picking up the second load from Crewe. I think the train with wagons has to go all the way to Sideway to run round. The stripped out body of 56007 is perched on some bogies outside Electro Motive. On the right is a Longport yard, the sidings still in place.
This building is the highest building on the campus of the Technical University of Delft. Notorious for the unpredictable winds around it in stormy weather.

Lot of things to do, so i was just picked random things around me for photos. And my table look very dusty :)
The setting: A late afternoon, driving between Sydney and Brisbane one weekend. I stopped at the roadside to gawk and take countless photos of a pair of Black-shouldered Kites / White-tailed Kites / Australian Kites (depends on who you ask...)
This transformer was 180 degrees away from my subjects, but as birds go, they are not 100% cooperative. So, it was nice to spend a few moments capturing an interesting subject in an interesting situation where it wasn't likely to move or fly away... :-)

The first Yashica Electro 35 camera was introduced in 1966 . It is a range finder camera . A number of cameras with that name appeared since then, with various suffixes . One of these is the Yashica Electro 35 MC in 1972. (according to a Dutch ad MC should stand for 'mini computer' , but possibly it just stands for 'manual choice'(of focus) ?) This camera is a simplified version with a zone focusing scale .
Another 20 years old view of electro-diesel 73205 (present day Gbrf 73964) in the capital passing Clapham junction upon 11.45 London Victoria-Gatwick Airport service.

3d Streetpainitng depicting analog combined with digital technologies; via the natural world (jellyfish) and man-made world of technology (digital interface).
I found out by chance that the 22.52 Waterloo - Southampton was a regular class 73 turn hauling a mixture of parcels and passenger stock with a generous waiting time at stations en route.
As a result I was able to both photograph and take the train on a number of occasions, even managing the odd cab ride from kindly drivers along the way.
Here we find 73114 just having backed on to the train at Waterloo on the night of 17th November 1978
