It looks as if this machine comes from the early industrial era. Clearly electro plating was an important process needed in the railway workshops. This photograph is designed to reflect the grunge and grime of the period.
4235 & 4244 pass Pierson whilst hauling train 101 from Decatur to Chrisman, 1 Oct 2022.
Train 101 runs daily and normally departs 0630-0730
A fine autumn afternoon finds Canadian Pacific's eastbound freight, 484, approaching Watertown with a leader that knows the route quite well. The Dakota Minnesota and Eastern 6364 was CMStP&P 203 in it's previous life of glory.

We are back onto the train at Slinger, after setting out the observation car Lac Vieux Desert, named after a grand lake in Vilas County Wisconsin, along with general freight for the Wisconsin & Southern to pick up from the siding. Conductor Steve Kepplinger is taking care of the paperwork in the cozy cab while I snap a quick photo before we depart for Milwaukee on this frigid winter's afternoon.
