He added: " The photos taken of platform 2 re the trench and boarding are actually work to protect and future proof a sub-surface drainage system running underneath it.
A photo of the near completed track and subway is not an optical illusion, there is an actual hump over the subway section ! Network rail have created a speed hump !
And last, the close up of the track with the circuits, any ideas what these are for ?"

DR 98001 : Network Rail Windhoff MPV Electrification Vehicle fitted with piling equipment - dumped, off its bogies, to the side of the Down Yard in Swindon.
Although photographed back in April, this MPV is still in the same position today - Nov.'21.

There is an electric fence running through these wild flowers. This is called "Electrified", because I found out by backing into the fence. When I turned around and saw the surrounding beauty, I had to take the shot.

Completed conversion in December, 2009. Kent Armstrong mini-humbucker pickup, thumbwheel volume and tone pots, 1/8" mini jack with special cable.
Everything mounted invisibly to back side of pickguard. The pickup is 100% floating, and no holes were drilled in the guitar's top.
There are two holes drilled in the side for the gold-plated pickguard support bracket. The front of the guard is supported with a stainless steel pin which slips into a socket which was built into the neck extension when the guitar was constructed.
The line to Blackpool South reopened as planned after a Winter blockade to undertake major route improvement and electrification works on the route to Blackpool North.
Kirkham and Wesham station has been substantially rebuilt with a third platform for the first time ever, bi-directional signalling and a lift in the pipeline.

MPV DR68009 heads an interesting rake at Westwood Road Atherstone If I could find good reference pictures of this I'd be modelling it!
The direction of the sunlight made this pole, that holds the tram wires, really stand out against its background. For the first time I had a good look at one of these. They are actually quite interesting.

Wrinkley kindly sent a batch (Photos A832...) which he took earlier in the day showing wiring between Beaumont Road bridge and Lostock station. This batch and shot shows autotransformer wiring work east of Beaumont Road bridge as far as Ladybridge later in the same day.

“Honey sweetums, next time you’re at Home Depot could you pick up 100 extension cords...... don’t forget a jumbo box of 30 amp fuses.... and a couple fire extinguishers wouldn't hurt.”
Maybe I'm just an old Scrooge, but these overly elaborate Christmas decorating schemes scare me.... as an electrician I've seen lots of short circuits, loose connections, and wet conditions cause fires and stray voltage conditions. Rock salt and ice melter used on steps, decks, etc. makes for more conductive conditions and increases the risk for both people and pets.

Poulton Signalbox was demolished over three days in February 2018. On Monday and Tuesday 19th and 20th February the interior and roof were dealt with by hand to salvage reusable items and to separate small waste.
On Wednesday 21st February 2018 the structure was demolished by machine.
This series follows the Wednesday operation.
