“Honey sweetums, next time you’re at Home Depot could you pick up 100 extension cords...... don’t forget a jumbo box of 30 amp fuses.... and a couple fire extinguishers wouldn't hurt.”
Maybe I'm just an old Scrooge, but these overly elaborate Christmas decorating schemes scare me.... as an electrician I've seen lots of short circuits, loose connections, and wet conditions cause fires and stray voltage conditions. Rock salt and ice melter used on steps, decks, etc. makes for more conductive conditions and increases the risk for both people and pets.
