The next bridge along westwards, which is completely blocked off to the northern end and is therefore useless for foot or vehicle traffic, though it may carry services.

“Electrify” is a fiery golden-red glitter polish from China Glaze Hunger Games "Capitol Colours" collection. This is two coats over China Glaze Cruisin + 1 layer of top coat.
The railway is not the only electrification project in town.
A branch line from the tramway which runs along the front is due to open on 2019.
Pointwork can be seen in the foreground, having this in place will avoid major disruption to the existing system.

08 527 stands at the eastern end of the depot yard.
Taken from a Liverpool Lime Street to Manchester Oxford Road all stations, looking north.
The masts in this section appear to be going to be configured as "Headspans", is with wires cross-ways from which catenary and power lines are suspended.
It turns out that:
"They aren't headspan masts - just fairly big STCs. I think you'll find that the track interval is so large that a single back-to-back cantilever would have too great a walkout for the Bonomi booms; you'd end up with two STCs anyway. Bolton Station is the same, through 4 and 5.
It will be a very cold day in hell before designers even suggest headspans, not that we would with standard portal booms coming in at 20m and non-standard ones up to 40m ..."

Clawdeen, she is so awesome and a lot of fun, her dress is pretty cool, her hair is awesome but needs a lot of work, she needs a little trim and some care, another small problem she has a mark on her face I didn't notice in the box but apart from that she's awesome, her pet thing is cute too and I love the hot pink in her hair I don't think Clawdeen's ever had pink in her hair, I think it adds to it.

A stormy evening at Clifford Pier in Singapore. There were many flashes of lightning during that evening and this provided additional beautiful backdrop onto the Singapore night skyline.
Beside the track lies these examples of fittings seen many times during this electrification program.
These devices appear to be slipped over the 'hinge' where arms are attached to masts to signify 'work in progress'. They therefore act as a readily visible warning. They are removed when the arm in question is fully fitted.

The first phase of the NW Electrification Scheme entailed electrifying the Chat Moss Route to enable FTPE electrics to run from Manchester Airport to Scotland. This kicked off on 30th December 2013.
Already their now eight coach trains ("proper trains") are sometimes running full and standing.

It shows work to the north of the tracks at Gibraltar Farm. The exercise involved diverting National Grid wires which crossed ("oversailed") the to-be-electrified railway with too little clearance for safety.
The wires were cut then replaced by a new set of wires which passed under the tracks through a newly drilled bore.
Wrinkley added: "The north side cable is terminated about 200 metres before the overhead cable crossing point, the cable then goes underground south under the track and terminator. That track was used as access for the south side.
I think this route was chosen rather that tunnelling from the last post before the crossing on the north side because the ground in that area is very marshy and access would be very difficult. As it is, they had to make an access road to the north side terminator using timber boards.
The redundant cable is disconnected at both ends and some of it is lying in the field."
