The Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of the Conception Aparecida, is a Catholic religious temple located in the Brazilian municipality of Aparecida, in the interior of the state of São Paulo. It is the largest Catholic temple in Brazil and the second largest in the world, smaller only than the Basilica of St. Peter in the Vatican.

Its construction on September 10, 1946, and its structure was solemnly sacred on July 4, 1980, by Pope John Paul II, when he first visited Brazil. In 1984, the National Conference of Brazilian Bishops (CNBB) elevated the new basilica to the National Shrine. It is located in the center of the city, having access to the "Passarela da Fé", which connects the current basilica with the old one, both visited by the pilgrims. She has already received the visit of three popes: John Paul II, Benedict XVI and Francisco.

That's the view from my window at dawn. Here is my new home...we leave a city (the giant São Paulo) with approximately 20 million inhabitants, to find quality of life in a cozy city of just over 600 thousand inhabitants. It's a new path for my family in this year of 2018.

Constructed in the early 14th century

The idea of founding a private company to build a railroad in São Paulo arose in 1864, when the São Paulo Railway (Brazil), which linked Santos to Jundiaí, declared itself unable to extend its rails to Campinas. On December 16, 1867, the Companhia Paulista de Estradas de Ferro was founded to attend to the progress of coffee plantations.

The construction of the Fepasa Complex in Jundiaí was begun in 1870 and in 1872 the inaugural train was circulating. The first electric train in South America circulated in its lines in July 1922. With a total area of 111,000 m² and 45,000 m² of constructed area, the Fepasa Complex housed its administrative offices, maintenance workshops and garage of the trains that circulated through the São Paulo rail network. It was the pride of the Companhia Paulista de Estradas de Ferro and, currently, with many trains and own construction in almost total abandonment.
