ELC's Conference Empowers Early Educators, Strengthens Teacher-Child Connections

On Saturday, January 27, 2024, 300 early educators from across Sarasota County gathered at Suncoast Technical College in Sarasota to experience a morning filled with education, empowerment and enlightenment. Offering a diverse array of workshops, the professional development event focused on creating and strengthening positive teacher-child interactions.
Whether you're a seasoned pro or new to the field, our conference caters to all. Saturday’s immersive experience was designed for preschool directors, preschool teachers as well as those
working with little ones at local businesses and community-based nonprofits. The goal is for them
to gain valuable knowledge, discover new strategies, and exchange insights with peers.

Around 70 educators from across the state attended Alabama Ag in the Classroom (AITC) Summer Institute in Mobile June 11-13. Day 1 included workshops centered around gardening, resources and more.

In a 2-day educator workshop, the LBJ Library welcomed K-12 educators and ocean lovers who impact student learning to explore the history of ocean science, the pivotal role sharks play in our ecosystem and the ecology of water systems. At We’re Gonna Need A Bigger Boat! Water Ecology in the Classroom, educators dissected oysters, studied shark ecology, filtered dirty water and explored Spring Lake at the Meadows Center for Water and the Environment at Texas State in San Marcos, Texas.

NGRREC educators and RiverWatch team hosted area teachers, non-formal educators, and pre-service teachers for a day of activities about the world of water.

Teachers and administrators from throughout Wyoming convened at Camp Guernsey Joint Training Center for the 3rd Annual Educator Leadership Rendezvous, which took place from August 1 to 3, 2023. Over the course of three days, participants had the opportunity to immerse themselves in various facets of military operations, fostering a deeper connection between the armed forces and the education sector.
