Taken during the October 14, 2023 Annular Eclipse. It's a rare reminder that we live in a huge universe made up of celestial bodies much larger than our little planet.
You know the eclipse is over because the ladies are putting their foodstuffs out to dry in the sunshine.
End of totality, eclipse in Helen, Georgia on August 21, 2017. The sun/moon overlap is in the beginning of the diamond ring phase, or third contact.
Combination of the 2nd and 3rd contact 4 minutes apart. Many thanks to Xavier M. Jubier, who provides extremely accurate calculations free of charge via Google maps. The calculated lunar profile for the contacts also corresponded to reality! A good help for the next eclipse in Spain in 2026!
partial eclipse, sadly my full eclipse photos did not turn out when the moon was a beautiful wine red
Here is a shot of the date of the possible portal. The middle of the zero is gone, but the outside of the zero is clearly visible.
Tomada hace unos minutos.
Eclipse solar parcial. Creo que en Punta Arenas se verÃa completo.
RadiografÃa en mano, es la toma que se pudo obtener.
