Dado que no fui capaz de inmortalizar el eclipse en todo su esplendor, dejo un mudo testigo del regreso de la luz.
Solar eclipse preparations - I had secured two sets of glasses just in case one got lost. There seemed to be some "fake" eclipse glasses floating around that would not protect your eyes appropriately. This is the ISO number to look for to make sure your glasses are safe.

Tried to capture the solar eclipse on live view on my camera using a very dark filter. Can't see the eclipse but its still a strange photo.

Lunar Eclipse, December 2010.
This is a 13 second exposure. 13 seconds and the moon and stars take on a nice motion blur. The very faint star right above the Moon is HR 2074, I think. The brighter blue star in the upper right corner is HR 2084.
Cloudy day, which is actually an advantage as I could watch and photograph the eclipse without protective measures.
Cassini image of Enceladus (and another moon whose name I've inconveniently forgotten) being eclipsed by Saturn's shadow.

Stayed up to watch the lunar eclipse last night (27 Sep 07 ((sorry, August. My bad...))) since the weather was clear. Ended up at Glen Alps trail head above Anchorage. Clouds were thin, but gave a pretty good view of the event. This shot was taken just before the disc slipped completely into the penumbra.
Earlier there were also Northern Lights and some killer shooting stars - none of which I was able to capture. Darn! But the eclipse was great! Very beautiful! Glad I stayed up.

Photo of a lunar eclipse found in an envelope marked June 1994. Most likely the May 25, 1994 eclipse.
I'm not sure, but I think the bright splotch near the bottom is actually the moon, and the clear image of the moon up near the top is a reflection inside the camera. I have no idea whether the ring is an atmospheric phenomenon that got picked up on the film, or just lens flare.
Anyway, scanned because I thought it looked interesting.
