Éclairs sur la vallée du Lot (Villeneuve-sur-Lot, Bias, Casseneuil, Sainte-Livrade-sur-Lot) en Lot-et-Garonne (47), pris lors d'un orage le 12 août 2018 au soir.
Pas de Perséides en vue ce soir-là, du coup… mais le spectacle a valu la chandelle ! :)

Tube de lave formé par l'éruption du volcan La Corona il y a 3000 à 5000 ans, éclairé pour mettre en valeur les belles couleurs des roches volcaniques formant les parois.
Christina was my partner (and thank god, she took these pictures). These eclairs had a pastry cream that we flavored with Calvados, nutmeg and cinnamon -- thus giving them an "apple pie" taste that worked out pretty well.
We didn't want to smother them in chocolate glaze, and figured that a little cornet work would look good AND give enough chocolate flavor to not be overpowering.
