Hier soir, gros orage sur Toulouse. Éclairs et tonnerres. Malgré mon manque d'expérience, j'ai réussi à prendre quelques jolis effets de lumières et d'éclairs.

Taken with a Nikon D70 on a tripod on July 27th 2005.
As lightnings were illuminating the sky, I managed to get away from my wife and newly born daughter for a few minutes and setup my tripod in our backyard.
As my wife was afraid of the storm, I had to quickly set my Nikon D70 to manual metering, focussed manually to infinity and took 1 or 2 seconds shots for 3 minutes.
I managed to get 6 images out of 25 shots.
Note: that was my first attempt at capturing lightnings...

KA-POW! se compose de deux bancs aux formes atypiques représentant des éclairs, des motifs géométriques étoilés et des bulles de bande dessinée. L'œuvre située à l'arrière de la station de métro Square-Victoria fait référence à " l'action, la force, le mouvement, le souffle et le son ". L'œuvre à se veut un appel à l'échange avec les autres, avec l'espace public et la nature; un espace de contemplation, de discussion et de jeu au cœur de l'agitation urbaine. L'installation s'inscrit ainsi entièrement dans les traditions de son héritage anishinaabe et dans son approche centrée sur la participation sensorielle du public.
Finally got the white Royal Saloon. I find these old Japanese hardtop sedans beautifully proportioned and just good looking. Also reminds me of old times when I was living in the Philippines when I was young that many of these old late 70s to early 80s Toyota Crowns were a common sight, but not this particular model but the pillared, regular sedan models at the same time period which pretty much uses the same interior, power train and frame but this is as close as I can get. I think the plastic, body colored bumper looks great and much better compared to the shorter chrome one on some other models.
The model on the other hand looks great, the full gleaming white paint job works well with the blue interior, the interior, for it's size is already fantastic, with lots of sculpting and tiny little details. It's a little hard to spot, but the chrome is painted in a really glossy silver paint which works well, and some tiny little details such as the badge are there. The wheels ooks great, although it would look so much better if the holes were ''blackwash'' giving a more realistic look. The front grille is different from the Eclair model (Blue one) as it has less busy pattern.
