Views of an art installation by Martha Glowacki at the Charles Allis Museum in Milwaukee. The museum is the home of Charles Allis, the son of the founder of the Allis-Chalmers Manufacturing Co. in Milwaukee. 2011 marks the 100th anniversary of the home. Glowacki, along with five other artists, was asked to do an installation in one room of the house for the anniversary.

The Villa at Echo Beach is Villa at Echo Beach located in the fishing village of Canggu, home to some of the most impressive villas on the island, and offers the double attraction of being close to the shops and restaurants of Seminyak, while also presenting a fascinating insight into the traditions of rural Bali. Cows are herded through the fields, rice is planted and harvested throughout year, and the sound of ritual music is carried on the breeze.

Chris made this and gave it to me for a Christmas present last year! I love it, the colours of the glass beads are so vibrant. I like to wear it particularly when i'm wearing red, which is very often, so its a good job its so well-made. Thanks Chris!
