19th July 2017:
... Think you've got a point there, Cid."
As I didn't know what sort of a day I'd have after Graham fell yesterday, I was digging into the Happy Hippy bag as soon as I could for an emergency back up photo.
The weather hasn't been great either today, not raining, but overcast and dull, so I thought I'd give going out a miss and use my spare photo, which I had fun taking anyway and liked how it came out.
PS: Graham is feeling bruised and a bit weak, but he's been resting, sleeping for most of the day and I'm hoping that he'll be more like his old self by tomorrow.
Thank you all for asking.

A fine rocky peak that resides close to the imposing Stuc a' Chroin. In no way does it cower to it's larger neighbour, mind you. An intriguing twisty/turny ridge connects the two & makes for an entertaining traverse.
The ongoing lack of snow was very apparent yesterday. A few of the higher ridge-lines still retain bits & pieces, but the general appearance of the Southern Highlands right now is more akin to autumn or early spring. There's no sign of any imminent change to this worrying pattern.
The large 'coin' at the back was in our Christmas box from my sister, it's huge. The others are either from last year and or two years ago. I found them in the box I keep my external hard drive in - no don't ask!
Put them all together and got a photo I liked and then painted out the background using PhotoScape. A bit fiddly, but worthwhile, or I think so.
I've just measured it: It's 10 cm in diameter - about 4 ins.

18th October 2020:
Well it had to happen sooner or later, the Sunday lunch photo that is!
Although I have to say that my personal chef did an excellent job today. Roast chicken, potato wedges and an extremely tasty mixed veg stir fry. A new one to us, with courgettes, beans, round carrots (which are fun) along with sweet corn and red and yellow peppers.
He did over do the potato wedges a bit, but they were good!!

10th October 2021 :
Went down to the little supermarket to get some extra things we needed for our pudding this evening.
Noticed this in the beauty salon and decided to use it for my photo for today. Although I did play around with her a little!

8th October 2021 :
I took Graham out for a treaty lunch today. But first, we had to find somewhere that was open at the beginning of October in a seaside town.
We found somewhere and it's a new restaurant, which was even better. A partly vegetarian one, but with some interesting things on the menu.
This was my quiche and salad. It was a pretty large slice, but excellent as was the delicious salad.
We had thought of having pudding, but by the time we'd finished this lot there wasn't any room left. The best part - other than the food, was that it was warm enough to eat outside on the terrace.
You can see what Graham had here :

Lyrics :
Just say that I'm The one who
You will live and breathe for
And tiny buds will bloom, then
We would grow to love those
Sometimes our troubled world will
Come tumbling down
I still have you
We're going through
When all the winds have blown
You'll never feel a thing cause
Love has no special way of
Making bells to ring, so
Let's just move on to love and
We'll make up our minds
We're going through
There's me and you
Smile, we have each other
Sometimes I don't know where you go
But love has made us one
Come on smile, we have each other
If you're for me, we'll never be alone
Although no wealth is ours, we
Never feel so bad cause
We only miss the things that
Gave us what we have, so
If there is anything I can do for you
The way is made
The price is paid
Smile, we have each other
Sometimes I don't know where you go
But love has made us one
Come on smile, we have each other
If you're for me, we'll never be alone
12th June 2020:
... Known also as an African Lily in the UK.
The sun came out not long before lunchtime, so I grabbed my light raincoat and camera cap and raced over the road for a photo or two. The forecast is for more rain, so I didn't want to miss a minute of some extra vitamin D.
Everything was soaked in raindrops, which actually made getting a photo more fun, especially as the light, for the main part was great. Found this Agapanthus growing upside down, which just made it even better.

So it's Izzy.
Just wasn't feeling like taking a photo today, or going out on a sort of sunny day, so grabbed a photo of Izzy on top of the door.

Both are set On Jersey and during German occupation in the second world war. Lots of similarities between the two stories. Really odd I was sure I had read the one on the left, but with a different ending. Can't find it among the books I have photographed though.

13th March 2020:
While I was sitting outside with Izzy early this morning, I took a few photos of our Red Robin bush with the sun shining on it.
The weather could have gone any way and I needed a backup photo just in case. I also got one of ours Collared Doves, but I preferred this photo. You can see the dove here : www.flickr.com/photos/44506883@N04/49655697292/in/datepos...

I want to thank each and everyone who took the time to visit my little space here on Flickr. Have a super day!
Each summer for the past five years I travel a little less than an hour to two sunflower fields, located on opposite sides of a narrow country lane. It’s become a kind of July pilgrimage visiting these rural state park acreages whose managers plant and grow the sunflowers to feed wildlife through the coming months.
This year it started raining a bit as I drove there; the clouds were spectacular with the sun I considered that good fortune rather than a hindrance.
Rain stopped before I got there ,but some clouds remained as the sun moved low in the west.
I will most likely take and post too many images from this spot, but they will be a vivid personal reminder until next July.
Created by one of my grandsons and hanging on my wall.

Each evening I make a clicking sound and the quail, doves, squirrels, chipmunks, & sparrows, come running for some seed I throw down. Every once in a while you’ll see a hawk diving down from the sky to try and catch a meal.

You can also observe the stirrups up close. The stirrups are the part where you rest your feet when straddling the saddle.
In addition to these ambassadors and others, the procession includes women, children, people dressed as guards, and very beautiful and attractive horses. Ambassadors and horse decorations differ according to rank, and it is interesting to distinguish them.
Thank you for visiting. I would appreciate it if you could leave a comment. <(_ _)>

I went out in wonderful sunlight, yet 5 minutes up the road it began to get darker and started to drizzle. But I had the bonus of seeing a lovely rainbow. I have altered the 'gamma bright' level to make it show up more. I also finished my walk in beautiful sunshine.
