I keep a scarf out on a hanger, and when I'm using thickened dyes for a specific project, any excess dye gets dripped on the trash scarf. Usually I overdye the scarf with a resist once I retire it, but I really love this one!
Sue F. made good use of the leftover dye at the recent workshop to dye rovings and this knitted silk blank. The silk blank will be unraveled and reused in a knitting project-- maybe a shawl. For more information on this process go to this web site. www.machineknittingtodyefor.com/

While I absolutely love Montana and the dryness and sunshine and scenery here... I do miss the water of the Kitsap Peninsula.
