I keep a scarf out on a hanger, and when I'm using thickened dyes for a specific project, any excess dye gets dripped on the trash scarf. Usually I overdye the scarf with a resist once I retire it, but I really love this one!
This is the 2nd folding and dyeing of this piece. The first piece only dyed a small portion of it. I think I didn't soak it long enough the first time

So... I've never dyed my hair before. Before last night that is. Got some red dye from the local beauty supply shop, went over to Cheryl's place, and we were off to the races. The top took more of the dye than the longer parts of my hair, so I may redo in another week or two. Check back within the next week or so - I'm sure pics of me with the current dye job will pop up.
Too lazy to label these individually so deal with it.
Decided to go to the St. Patrick's day parade and Dyeing of the Chicago River.
Even though the day before was 52 and amazing, the temperature quickly dropped into the low 30s and made it pretty cold out, especially when clouds blocked out the sun!
I forgot how boring the parade was so I stopped mid-way through and left after 2 hours.

Ainsworth Dyer - The Tarnak Farm incident refers to the killing of four Canadian soldiers and the injury of eight others from the 3rd Battalion Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry Battle Group (3PPCLIBG) on the night of April 17, 2002, near Kandahar, Afghanistan. An American F-16 fighter jet piloted by Air National Guard Major Harry Schmidt dropped a laser-guided 500-pound (230 kg) bomb on the Canadians, who were conducting a night firing exercise at Tarnak Farms. The deaths were the first of Canada's war in Afghanistan, and the first in a combat zone since the Korean War. Son of the late Paul and Agatha Dyer of St. Laurent, Quebec. He was from Regent Park grew up in the neighbourhood and is now buried here.
Only two are mine.
