Red dye on the right hand images shows where the cracks are from the dye sprayed on from below: timzim.blogspot.com/2007/04/cracks-on-deck.html

Looking east from Dyer Mountain, the trail up there was tough and not very obvious but the views were worth it.

Jetzt sieht es von der Farbgebung her ein bißchen wie ein Globus aus. Spannend!

Heated solution to just under 120 F. The solution began to look a little less opaque.

Added 90 yd. skein of merino superwash yarn, 1 small silk scarf, and sample dye card.

Woohoo! I could see some yellow and blue happening where the silk scarf wouldn't stay under the water.

Dyed by me, I admit it, for Project Spectrum.

Having some paper doily fun! You can find out what I'm going to do with them, if you go

My first time ever doing poodle feet/face and dying a poodle. It's a lot easier to dye a compliant dog (read: Bonaparte) but this didn't turn out too badly when you think about it. He looks really cute, although the deep blue isn't deep enough IMO so you really don't see a "fade". Oh well, next time.
