Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' Cottage. Designed and made by me :)

High-tech dwarves and high-tech trolls are still dwarves and trolls.

Dwarves > Elves. Yes, I tossed in a few beardless dwarves (including female ones) to be the butt end of many jokes in "So You Wanna Be An Adventurer?".

A new LoM episode featuring Ranger Cody and his apprentice Quinn.

"It had been three days since the ship had landed, and not a single person or animal the whole time. Many of the crew and the other rangers had begun to give up hope of finding anyone on this island. But Quinn and I haven't given up hope, for the scouts we had sent here a month ago had seen dwarves."

Mychel convinces the dwarves to allow the travellers passage by gifting them his supplies of bread and ale.

with regard to the fact, that he's a polygonal one! ;)

Hammerers of the Peak Gate Guard.

After tinkering around with some new weapon designs and developing some new beard sculpting techniques, I decided to add two more units to the Peak Gate Guard.

Armor: @brickwarriors Lorica Segmentata.

Arms, beard, skirt: greenstuff

Hammers: kitbashes, the left one is mostly a #brickwarriors Warhammer.

(Dwarves)

You sure we're on the right way to the tavern?

Yes, of course! DM rolled on orientation, this is a shortcut.

(around the bend)

You and your darn shortcuts, Sven!

You and your darn nagging, Olaf! It's fun, isn't it?

Yeah, okay. They ran like rabbits!

Maybe we'll find some more of these "Adventurers"?

For those not familiar with DnD rules - rolling a one is an utter failure.

You can see that I am not familiar with indoor photography. You can rarely have motion in the legs when shooting outdoors with wind and gravel, so I completely forgot to move the legs of Sven and Olaf. When I realised it, the sun had already given way to heavy downpour (and my patience was already exhausted) so I left it like that. You wouldn't have noticed anyway.

Oh, and after a bit more than seven years, this is the first picture of the Dwarf from series 17.

Toy Project Day 3324

This cave was part of a huge project that took me about half a year to complete. Especially the lighting is a huge asset of this build.

The Dwarves' Blag Dahlia sings to a fan. January 11, 2008.

There are 11 lego beard variants currently available, all depicted here for the 13 dwarves that feature in The Hobit. Am I correct? Only 2 of the 13 dwarves have duplicate beards.

Ulfrik Whitebeard the Evergrumbler's company of Dragon Slayers set out to clear the nightmare from Undark.

They were never seen again.

Coming tomorrow. Pieces will be available in black and steel.

While a Milwaukee County bus on Route 80 passes overhead on the 6th Street Bridge, an Amtrak Hiawatha Service set lays over on Track 0 at Milwaukee Intermodal Station.

"Soon, the dwarves came to large flower patches along the trail, and ancient oaks created a canopy overhead, shielding them from the summers heat. They came to a large wooden gate, beyond which they could see gardens, and small buildings. While the dwarves waited, Gandalf and Bilbo wandered forward and soon encountered very intelligent horses, who ran away immediately. 'They have gone to inform their master of our presence', said Gandalf. When they reached a courtyard, they saw in the middle, a huge man, with a thick black beard and hair, and great bare arms and legs with knotted muscles. The horses were standing by him, with their noses on his shoulder. 'who are you and what do you want?', boomed the man gruffly. 'I am Gandalf, and this is Bilbo Baggins, we have been traveling and wished to inquire as to the master of the house.' 'My name is Beorn, and this is my farm. Did you encounter any troubles on your journey?' 'We did indeed, we were trapped by Goblins in the walk over the mountains. In fact, a couple of our number were carried off!' 'Couple? I see only two.' 'Ah, that is true, they should be around here somewhere. I will give a whistle for them' When Gandalf had done so, up came Thorin and Dori, bowing and fawning before the giant man. 'Go on telling then,' said Beorn who was obviously very interested in this story about Goblins. 'Alright, so the goblins managed to carry off some of our group, when I managed to smite the goblins with magic, felling four of their number.' Beorn gave a grunt of approval before Gandalf continued. 'And so then several of our company--' 'I see only four now, which hardly constitutes several.' 'Oh quite right, shall I give another whistle?' 'Yes, yes, just hurry up, I want to hear how this ends.'"

My 3rd scene for the CCC depicting Bilbo's encounters with the hermit Beorn, the were-bear who happens to be my fav character in the LOTR saga.

Thank you all for viewing. C&C welcome as always.

EDIT: I got the Brickshelf and MOCpage updated with more pictures.

They fight as hard as they forge their mighty weapons... defending their dwellings in the mighty mountains of Wilderland.

The dwarves haven't seen Snow White since she rode off into the sunset with the handsome prince. Grumpy's been feeling the pecuniary pinch and refused to show up for this Halloween photoshoot without a contract. Personally, I think they all are happier without him.

Dwarves emerge from the mine tunnels to do battle with their eternal enemies, the goblins.

I know there's all kinds of lore around the Mythic Legions figures, but I'm an old school D&D fan so I tend to make up my own concepts for fantasy pics.

Here's my second entry for the 2024 Brickscalibur, Dwarf Tales category.

A party of five dwarves are trying to sneak undetected into the Elven city.

They are climbing the wall under the elven aqueduct.

Will they make it past the elf guard?

Here's the behind the scenes video: youtu.be/JY1Z7cAr4Tg

Dwarves Mine Tower

Eastern Schwarzwald. At a small mine, the dwarves once built a fairly large tower. From the tower they can observe if any enemy forces are approaching the mine (not only dwarves like gold, you know). And if enemy forces are getting close, the dwarves will shoot at them with the cannon.

We are currently seeing a mine inspection by a dwarven king. The king awarded the output leader, and the princess was given a gold crystal as a gift. Meanwhile, everything is being watched by an elven spy.

The dwarves, apart from hatches and axes, sometimes use a helicopter. Perhaps to deliver ammunition to the tower.

Soglio lies on a ledge on the mountainside on the northern side of the Val Bregaglia (Bergell in German) above the river Maira (Mera in Italian), with views across the valley to the Bondasca glacier and the peaks of the Sciora group, Piz Cengalo and Piz Badile in the Bregaglia Range.

The town is 17 km from the Italian town of Chiavenna at the foot of the Val Bregaglia, and 39 km from Sankt Moritz in the Engadine valley which is reached via the Maloja Pass. These two towns provide the nearest railway stations. The highest point of the territory of the municipality is the summit of Piz Duan (3131 m).

My Most Interesting - { Planet Adventure BlogSpot }

Dwarves love axes and hammers, especially axes. They love single and double headed axes. Short axes and long axes. Broad axes and narrow axes.

So, way back when the Dwarven King saw how the humans were using pikes in combat and decided that he wanted a pike division as well, you can easily imagine the complaints from the Dwarf soldiers.

"This isn't an axe!

What is this, a spear??

Where's the broad head??"

So, as you can see in the photo, though they are called Pikemen, the Dwarven soldiers still use axes.

The Vyne is a 16th-century country house outside Sherborne St John, Basingstoke, Hampshire, England. It was built for Lord Sandys, King Henry VIII's Lord Chamberlain. The house retains its Tudor chapel, with stained glass. The classical portico on the north front was added in 1654 by Inigo Jones's pupil John Webb. In the mid-eighteenth century The Vyne belonged to Horace Walpole's close friend John Chaloner Chute, who designed the Palladian staircase, whose magnificent apparent scale belies its actual small size. The Vyne was bequeathed by its final Chute owner, Sir Charles Chute, to the National Trust in 1958. Each year a number of concerts, plays and family events are run. The grounds contain large woodland and a wetlands nesting site which is populated by swans and Common Redshanks. There are a number of woodland, wetland and parkland walking trails. Dogs are welcome into the grounds (on leads), in Morgaston Woods and the Organic Parklands (under direct control). The Vyne holds an inscribed Roman ring as well as a lead tablet that speaks of a curse on the one who stole it. J.R.R. Tolkien was asked to comment on it as an expert on Anglo-Saxon history, including its connection to a mine fabled to have been dug by dwarves, and a few days after began writing Lord of the Rings.

The Darven City, "Baruk Khazâd" - "Axes of the Dwarves"

My little contribution to the SSCC. Even though it is not even close to as small as some other entries, I had tons of fun designing this. :)

Enjoy!

The elves worked diligently and efficiently to help stop a dwarven invasion on Avalonia and the Drow, to prevent war and promote peace. They sent out scouts on their newly tamed wargs and built towers to detect any sign of dwarves, and to stop them. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, it all came to nothing. The dwarves secretly mined underneath their very nose, and gained entry into Avalonia, ready to take war on the Drow..."

My entry into the Guilds of Historica Book II Challenge III Category B - Deceiving Elves

Phew! I can't believe I finished it in time! Thanks to the extension of the deadline and a canceled family gathering, I had enough time to finish my second entry into the GoH Challenge. Once again I experimented in one of Grant Davis's techniques that he created in his creation "Undermining." (If you have not checked out Grant's creation yet, what are you waiting for!? Go give it a look! ;) ) Tons of fun to build, making all the little sections of rock pieces fit together was so much fun (although very delicate)!

The details on the top were also fun to add, I finally got to use my wargs! :D Even though wars in LOTR are evil, I always though they were kinda cool, so if you could tame them...they could be quite lethal and well worth the effort. ;)

All in all, a decent build, there are a few more things I would have liked to try if I had more time, but deadlines are deadlines. ;)

Thanks for viewing, and enjoy!

Soli Deo Gloria!

"Whatever you do, don't call them Dwarves"

The Gazuman Brutes are the main division of the King's army. These warriors are some of the sturdiest and strongest in all of written history. Each a trained survivalist with vast knowledge of herbology and wildlife biology. In the past, Brutes would serve tours in active battle, or be stationed in reserve in the mines of Ottogar or Attenor. Now, as a result to their fewer numbers, due loss of the females to the Grey Plague, the Brutes are all stationed aboard Gazuman Stout Ships around the coast of Ottogar, or in it's mines. Brutes have not set foot on any battlefield of Esterdame in hundreds of years, though they do often come in peace, as security for their ambassador to the North. The true number of their force is unknown, but Scholars of Thronfeld whom have studied the Gazuman lifespan believe that their army is an aging one, and that in a no more than a thousand years, each and every one of their number will have died.

And now for something a bit different......

A shot of the famous Wroclaw Dwarves. Over 300 of these diminuitive statues can be found around the city, some in the most unlikely of places. Despite the false perspective of this shot created by it's ground level viewpoint they're no more than about 8 or 9 inches tall.

From Wikipedia : "Wrocław’s dwarfs (Polish: krasnale, krasnoludki) are small figurines that first appeared in the streets of Wrocław, Poland, in 2005. Since then, their numbers have been continually growing, and today they are considered a tourist attraction: those who would like to combine sight-seeing in Wrocław with dwarf-tracking are offered special brochures with a map and mobile application software for smartphones. As of 2014, there are over 300 dwarfs spread all over the city. Six of them are located outside the city at the LG plant in Biskupice Podgórne."
