Something took a dump on the plant. Something that had been eating plenty of seeds.
My guess: Coyote.
The dumping grounds next to which I worked. There is a huge community of people (see Panorama-Basti) that live around the dumping grounds and many who work there. The original picture is much higher resolution and you can see the people picking through the trash.
This was dumped near the end of my road, It was there a couple of days. Once someone had turned it around at some stage so the picture was facing the hedge. It has since gone.
I was bringing in some firewood the other day when this little truck caught my eye. Lonely and abandoned, it sits under our deck. It's been with us for almost 14 years and has been used more than any other toy we've had. When Alex outgrew it, Maddie took over. It's been a vehicle for my kids, and it's hauled everything from dirt to dolls. I think it'll be one of those toys that we'll hang onto. It holds way too many memories to let it go.
