It's funny what looks good in pictures and somewhat disgusting in reality. This discarded tire along the river's edge was the perfect anchor to this image. The subject matter made me decide to go a little more "toxic" in my processing. I used a combination of a ND1000 filter along with a .9 ND Grad (3 stops) to balance the sky and foreground. This is a single 93 second exposure. I used the FotodioX Pro WonderPana filter system to get the shot.

March 19, 2009 marked the 6-year anniversary of the Iraq War. A war that didn't need to happen. With over 4,261 military casualties, thousands of wounded soldiers, an economy in shambles as we struggle to pay millions a month with a staggering total of over $1 trillion and counting. Iraq civilian deaths numbering in the thousands. It sickens me. Let's get the eff out of there.

This southbound car arrived at North Avenue and discharged all its passengers so it could return to the yard. Several of the passengers expressed their displeasure of being let off in the cold short of their destination.
As seen on the Brooklyn Bridge. People from HUNDREDS of countries around the world walk this bridge every day. The guy is a laughing stock.

VPL205 (LK51XGD) and VPL214 (LK51XGH) are seen parked outside Metroline's CELF Facility in Perivale, both vehicles have been withdrawn from service (in March and April respectively). (30/08/14)
The model is built more for looks than for playability or functionality. It does have a working steering mechanism on both front axles, though, albeit not connected to a steering wheel. It is set up to synchronise their motion, with a different steering angle on the front axle than on the one behind it. (I intend to post a picture of the mechanism sometime in the next few weeks). This is a function that actually enhances the look.

Another batch of ex-Birmingham Daimlers has arrived at Birds Commercial Motors at Stratford-upon-Avon. They are HOV 811, 810, 814, all of them are 1948 Daimler CVD with Daimler CD6 engines and Metro-Cammell bodies, the Shell pump is selling petrol at 4/10d a gallon.
To the right is the A34 Stratford Road, deserted apart from a carefree cyclist, today it is permanently jammed 7 days a week. Flower's Brewery dominates the scene producing their fine ales that were very popular in Stratford-upon-Avon and its surroundings.
