One day this sorry looking plant pot appeared out on my wall. Obviously it was a child's craft project, left forgotten next to an ash tray full of cigarette ends.
I kept looking at it, it always caught the light so well, be it sunlight or the lamp from above on the wall.
Its funny how the 365 really makes you examine the details of your surroundings. Today I made three images. Other days I struggle for one half decent one.

Came across this wonderful artwork at the dump. To my mind
immediately came "Liberty leading the people" by Eugene
Delacroix. What happens if this strong pauper lady breaks the
the ropes and leads the people to the barricades -:))
Anyway respect to anonymous artist !
Unlike the fairy tale this I-95 Energy/Resource Recovery Facility has, in reality, the ability to turn waste into gold. It processes some 3000 tons of trash a day. Their output is almost beyond belief, i.e. 80 megawatts of renewable energy – enough energy to meet the needs of over 80,000 homes.
But being a Stephen King fan I saw this scene in terms of his fantastical story, "The Langoliers". If you'll forgive a horrible pun, here's a quote that takes a huge bite out of the story line:
"We know what happens to today when it becomes yesterday. It waits for them. It waits for them, the timekeepers of eternity. Always following them behind, cleaning up the mess in the most efficient way possible: by eating it!."
This dump truck was owned by a local man who used it in his construction career. He built a big family consisting of many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The worn tires attest to the amount of work sustained.
Dumped in a farmers field in a rural area of Sicily, this very heavy sofa bed is symptomatic of the careless attitude some Sicilians have towards litter and the disposal of it.
Woke up to this Monday morning. Power went out at 10:30am. Still no power, maybe days. VDOT not prepared, electric companies not prepared. Got enough wood for fire stove one more night. Got enough battery power for one more night with CPAP. Gas grill tank full, so we’ve got food. Great way to begin the New Year.
UPDATE: Tuesday……we now have had power since 11am and the house is warm. Made a big pot of soup and got hot showers. Hopefully, the power will stay on and tomorrow I can try to dig out the driveway.
Dump car from mobile exhibition of the Museum "Mosgortrans". All vehicles are serviceable and on the go.

In addition to deepening the shadow side of the truck and lifting off some paint at the edge of the doorway, I brought a little darker value down to the bottom.
Thanks Peter for corroborating my own feelings
Massive dump truck making it's way down Gardiner Expressway. Very much prefer to be up top snapping a pic than on the road next to it.

Copper Basin EMD’s, lead by former C&O GP39 no. 505, usher a dump train east of Ray Junction, Arizona.
A fresh dump of snow. We got at least 30cm of fresh snow overnight. I actually had cleared the previous snow from the garbage can (on right) and covered my car the night before. Lucky that today is my day off.
finally I found this, the original picture om the mangled shopping trolley chart in Berlin, I only had different edited versions on my computer and I think they lost a lot of the nice details and beside, they were so low-res that you could play a "Swedish Quiz" on them, so all you fellow lovers of Urban decay enjoy this picture!
Oh some facts about the shot!
it is on the area which is now a days "the east side gallery" I think it is my second or third trip to Berlin since the sections of wall hadn´t been lifted yet so you could reach the water from the eastern side, so we snook by a fence in to the backside of the wall (luckily we didn´t step on landmines from the Eastern Days)
we found a local graffiti artist there working on a graffiti (asked us in a polite way not include him in our pictures we took there, which we didn´t...
The place was a big dump with store sand and mountains of compiled trash...
Obviously a caterpillar or some other heavy tracked vehicle had completely mashed up this shopping chart, I felt pity on the poor thing bent almost to a new sort of construction, so I took a snap out of it, I thought this poor old thing shouldn´t have died in vain... so here it is :)
Peace and Noise!
