You were workin' as a waitress in a cocktail bar
When I met you
I picked you out, I shook you up and turned you around
Turned you into someone new
Now five years later on you've got the world at your feet
Success has been so easy for you
But don't forget, it's me who put you where you are now
And I can put you back down too
Don't, don't you want me?
You know I can't believe it when I hear that you won't see me
Don't, don't you want me?
You know I don't believe you when you say that you don't need me
It's much too late to find
You think you've changed your mind
You'd better change it back or we will both be sorry
Don't you want me, baby?
Don't you want me, ohh?
Don't you want me, baby?
Don't you want me, ohh?
I was working as a waitress in a cocktail bar
That much is true
But even then I knew I'd find a much better place
Either with or without you
The five years we have had have been such good times
I still love you
But now I think it's time I live my life on my own
I guess it's just what I must do
Don't, don't you want me?
You know I can't believe it when I hear that you won't see me
Don't, don't you want me?
You know I don't believe you when you say that you don't need me

Me, my bose headphones, my drummachine (zoom RT-123), my book and pen while I compose
I’m gonna trade this life for fortune and fame
I’d even cut my hair and change my name
‘Cause we all just wanna be big rockstars
And live in hilltop houses driving fifteen cars
The girls come easy and the drugs come cheap
We’ll all stay skinny ’cause we just won’t eat
And we’ll hang out in the coolest bars
In the VIP with the movie stars
Every good gold digger’s
Gonna wind up there
Every Playboy bunny
With her bleach blond hair
Hey hey I wanna be a rockstar
Hey hey I wanna be a rockstar

Oded was a fantastic character, busking on the high street with his drumkit, you could hear his pulsating beats before you saw him.
I followed the sounds to an impressively large group of people huddled around him, I watched his street performance and couldn't help but feel the electricity coming from him, it was both impressive, funny and endearing, it only lasted 5 minutes but wow, what an act.
He finished to a round of huge round of applause and came out from behind his drum kit to meet people and sell his CD's, I took the opportunity to ask for his photo and he jumped at the chance for publicity, I asked if he would tell me a little bit about himself however it was clear that he was itching to start another set, that is his living after all.
He gave me his card and told me to email him, I have done and waiting on a reply, he seems to be a busy man as his website is impressive, he's very popular on Youtube with many videos of him doing his performances, it is definitely worth a look, he calls himself the DrumMachine Project.
He was a fantastic musician and I look forward to the next time he comes to town.

The good old drum machine ain't dead yet, and the SR18 as well as it's AKAI-branded cousin, the XR20, are great-sounding examples for this product category.
The SR18 has a deliciously "drum machine-artificial" sound to it and adds some substantial bass sounds to the mix.
Judging by the sounds as well as the preset names, the Alesis is targeted more at Rock and Pop, whereas the AKAI box dishes out modern and old-school HipHop and Urban grooves.

I know, I know. Such a lame attempt. Not even in the ballpark. I know this man.
