with its straight steerer and design for an 80mm sus fork it made sense to convert this bike to 650B+. With 3" tires and Cowchipper bars it's a total blast to ride
Not finished yet, but getting close. I have a stubby 60mm stem to keep the reach to the hoods the same as on my road bike (which has a 90mm stem). From saddle to drops, it's 8", also the same as my road bike.
The Genesis Geometry creates a longer than normal top tube, which means you have to use a shorter stem than a typical MTB frame would require. The benefit to that is the front axle is further out in front, making it less likely you'll go over the bars. The only downside is, it can be a pain finding stems that are short enough. With my flat bar, I was using a 100mm, but this set-up required a little more thought to get it right.

My style of modelling diorama is always about "flexibility" , that is to show the model in varieties of conditions. There is a barrier gate in the site, and I would like to show it in either opened or closed conditions. Considering the complex mechanism of the actual gate, it is extremely hard and not efficient to make a operable gate in 1:150 scale. So I develope a slot-in/fasterer method in order to accomodate the two conditions. These dropbar acccessories (as shown in the above bottom left photo) took me two weeks to make.

I recently gave my hybrid commuter bike a dropbar conversion making it a light duty gravel bike. One of the nearest gravel trails is the southern end of the High Line trail. It passes through tony neighborhoods and nature preserves offering this stunning view of the Rockies.
