These guys, of whom there were a number around the Souk, were amazing. They sold drink, but did so with tremendous style and panache! There was much spinning and throwing in the air and pouring from great height. Things came and went from his back and from holsters around his belt.
Unfortunately, seeing me taking his photograph, he put on his best show and then insisted on giving me, free of charge, the product of his labours! Now I didn't get to be the only member of our group to avoid getting the shits in Egypt by drinking water from questionable sources, so I reluctantly had to decline his kind and generous offer!
(I forgot to ask him whether his name was Mohammed!!)

It was so much fun photographing all of the butterflies. This one was especially interesting, because the same butterfly kept returning to this same plant over and over again. Eventually, the other butterflies caught on that it must be a good thing and came over to join him.
One of the many reasons I enjoy visiting the Cockrell Butterfly Center at the Houston Museum of Natural Science is because they welcome photographers. Photography is not a crime.
