We keep having late spring snow storms.
This common redpoll was "drinking" snow. Our small pond is open but rather than drink water he seemed to prefer the snow.

Redpolls have throat pouches for temporarily storing seeds. They may fill their pouches with seeds quickly then fly away to swallow the seeds in a more protected, warmer spot.
With this foto i won my first competition. It made the first price and was published in the newspaper in zurich.
my entry for the February "Drinks" category in the Light Paint Competitions group. discovered that glow stick fluid doesn't mix well, so placed the stuff on top of thick, flourescent tempura paint. the flowers were illuminated with glow stick fluid, but also lightly dipped in the tempura paint and subtly lit by black light. the blue background is just cotton fabric lit with a blue LED light. 56 second exposure, SOOC except crop

This is an installed new drinking fountain last year. I took this several times, but the present season seems to be most suitable for photography.
On April 15, 2013 in Inokashirakoen.

これは昨年設置された新しい水飲み場です。 ぼくはこれを何度か撮りましたが、今の季節が撮影に最適のようです。

we're all mad here.
A few years back I bought one of these tiny bottles from a wicca type place and decorated the inside with charms... There's a photograph of it in my 'Concept' set. Since then I have been decorating these cork bottles with various charms and text.
The process is probably longer than you think for something that looks so simple! I have to stain the labels with coffee over a two day period to get the old effect, (it has to be two days so that the label is still sticky), then I have to find a suitable font (I use dafont.com), then the text/quote has to be written on the label in pencil first, then fineliner when the label is surely dry. After that I add bows, charms, glitter, jump rings for necklace attachments and various oils and inks for whichever effect i'm going for...
I haven't done anything Bokeh for quite a while and I usually use flowers as the main subject so here's something a little different!
