This man was sitting on the edge of the courthouse with his sign. I gave him a few bucks in exchange for a photo. He introduced himself as The Highland Drifter and asked if I was a student of photography. I told him 'pretty much'. His advice to me was to take the lens cap off.

Taken in the beautiful Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland. A landscape that just feels so magical and different than anything I'd seen before.
I've been feeling like a drifter again lately, never touching down for longer than a few days. Living in and out of backpacks and temporary homes, it's exciting and draining and everything in between.
This tree branch was a long way up into the dunes - some storm tossed it there no doubt - too heavy to lift
Oh, help me in my weakness
I heard the drifter say
As they carried him from the court room
And were taking him away
Well, my trip hasn't been a pleasant one
And my time it isn't long
And I still do not know
What is was that I've done wrong...

Old market across from the court house in downtown Eureka, California still has a nice old neon sign...Rusty from the salt air but still standing...

My first image of 2026 is wild ponies grazing up on the high plateau of Bodmin Moor in early Winter time recently. The mist swept across from the Atlantic right at sunset, hence the afterglow. It would have been rude not to have grabbed this! (Quick laptop edit).
Found this one floating over the water like a big vessel. River was quite moody last Saturday, with a bluish cast and a beautiful soft light...

Not sure of the exact names of these two peaks just south of Mammoth, but they and other's made for some nice images in the early morning sunlight. : )

This shot was taken from my office with my compact camera that I keep in my purse. That looked like an unusually large basket. Usually they are square but this one was rectangular.
Although I was very bronze I made a mistake, as driving with glove. It was around 40 degrees hot and there is nothing like Middle East sun. It's like End-Level-Monster.
