More drifting icebergs, this time in the southern arm of Lago Argentino. These ice masses break off from the leading edge of the Perito Moreno glacier, with thunderous cracking sounds occurring just as the ice fractures. Tour boats need to maintain a safe distance from the glacier front, to avoid impacts from the large waves that are often generated as the masses of ice hit the lake.

We are about to get very wet......soaked as a matter of fact! Simply incredible how fast the weather changes in the mountains. We watched it gather in strength for a few minutes and then headed back in. Impressive display of lightening, thunder and of course, lots of rain!
