For FGR...Your Hometown
Its a bit late but I wanted to post because it had perfect timing. I don't live in my hometown anymore but I was there for two days.
I went to a wedding last night! I had a lot of fun dancing and meeting new people! I didn't actually know the couple getting married but I knew 3 of the 4 groomsmen and their guests. I took about 250 photos at the wedding, lots to go through. Unfortunatly me and free alcohol isn't the best idea as I spent all of today in bed with a killer hangover.
Henry is taking a "Cotillion" class with his preschool friend Camille. I did have to break the news to him that he would not be learning how to freak dance. Despite being stuck with the foxtrot and the like the opportunity to be in close proximity to sixth grade girls won out over his fear of ties and loafers...
from an album which has some items dated 1902 - I wish I could scan some of the pages but they're too big to fit on the scanner. There's a lot of home printed photos that are badly fixed and faded, some boisterous hand tinting and double exposures, and a mixture of domestic and seafaring shots
This is one of the great masterpieces that I have come accross while scanning these slides. Perfect lighting and texture. The kids expression is great and I love his hand position.
Day 277
I have made Jaymi's Halloween costume for many of her Halloween years so far, but this year we just happened to find the perfect costume, and it was so much cheaper to buy than to make too. She just loves turtles so much, and we found this cute turtle costume yesterday, so this is her Halloween costume for this year.
I love that she is still young enough to look cute in a fuzzy animal costume, and that she still wants to...and doesn't want to be a character or something (probably because she doesn't watch tv yet).
Aaron and Jenny with (left to right) Elliott, Liam and COrbin - since this was taken (9/2002) they have added Moriah and Amelia.
These are my best friends.
It's that time of year again much fun was had many sweets were gained many visits to dentist booked .

When I was 15 I was enrolled in a ballroom dancing class at the Tanzschule Schoeffel. It's an old tradition in Germany although we may have been the last generation to go through this en masse. It was fun to learn all the dances, but I am not very coordinated so some of them were torture. I liked the waltz, mainly because we waltzed to "Mull of Kintyre" by The Wings, my favorite song at the time. I did much better rocking out to "Baby Love" by Mothers Finest (little did I know at the time that I would end up 10 year later in their hometown, Atlanta GA).
My dancing partner soon became my boyfriend :)
This photo of my parents was taken at the graduation ball. I think they look fabulous, and like out of a James Bond movie. It is said that I looked nice too but may lightning strike me if I ever post a photo of myself in a white ballroom dress. So don't ask for it.
Poor Maggie, I was trying to put my crazy glasses on her too but, there was no way she was going to sit still for that. So, here she is dressed up in her turtleneck sweater ... isn't she cute?
