You ever experience one of those weird dreams? This may have been taken late last summer, I’m not sure, lol. I forgot that I had taken/edited it and I believe the reasoning for this is because I wasn’t initially feeling it — it’s starting to grow on me a bit!
Yep it's that time again, to close the eyes and let the imagination run free, good night all, sweet dreams ;)
Meng Na's AI daughter?
This AI model was based off the AI + HDR post-processed photo to the right that, in turn, was based off an earlier image generated in Deep Dream Generator.
My original intent was to take the AI image to the right (Dream Girl Meng Na) and change her lingerie to black and make her eyes and lips fuller, but because I didn't separate the text prompt details with commas, the AI thought I wanted to change her ethnicity, rather than the colour of her lingerie, which was a serendipitous turn of events, because the AI mixed the two ethnic attributes and created this incredibly gorgeous AI model in a very realistic fashion, complete with stunning long, flowing hair and even threw a necklace and an earring into the mix.
I was quite surprised to see how well the AI worked, although there were still distracting and very abstract elements in the background that I carefully cloned out. I also had to clone in some extra swatches of hair at the very bottom to get the waves and curls just right. On the plus side, the AI generated model also came with some soft lens blur effects which added to a realistic sense of depth, as if the aperture was wide open.
A subtle contrast optimiser HDR effect was applied in Photomatix, along with some basic minor tweaks in PS and Lr, such as pushing up the highlights, lowering the saturation and adding some vignetting, but the original AI image was pretty amazing to begin with.
If you compare this to the image to the right, you can see it is obviously much smoother, detailed and more realistic. I also probably went overboard with the various HDR filters and effects in that previous image.
Very impressive how the AI picked up on many cues from the original highly stylised base image in terms of highlights in the hair and the toned look of the physique. The realism and faux-photographic effects, along with the smoothness and subtlety of the details reached a whole new level. It's an odd new creative collaboration for me, but extremely fascinating and rewarding.

Native American dream catchers were traditionally used as talismans. They aimed to protect sleepers, especially children, from bad dreams, nightmares, and evil spirits. Native Americans believed that at night the air was filled with dreams, both good and bad. They would hang the dream catcher over their beds where, as its name suggests, it attracts and then catches all kinds of dreams and thoughts in its web.
Beautiful dreams then pass through the threads and slide down the feathers to reach the sleeper and comfort him. Bad dreams, on the other hand, are trapped in the web and then destroyed, burned by the daylight.
The interpretation of dreams has strongly influenced the cultural and spiritual beliefs of Native Americans for centuries. They believed that dreams influenced the conscious soul of the dreamer. According to them, dreams could impact character traits such as trust, maturity, kindness, and loyalty.
Got this idea from a magazine, lyrics are from Northlane's Dream Awake which was kind of random but it turned out alright!

Got my dream catcher earrings on. I thought I lost one a few weeks ago but it turned up in the bottom of my handbag. Yeah getting more girlie by the day.
